OP needs updated

UPDATE: It's come to our attention that the build of Project Cars used as the basis for this article was not intended by the developer Slightly Mad Studios for technical analysis. We weren't aware of this, which was the unfortunate result of some miscommunication on our part with the game's publisher. It was an honest mistake and it is not our intention to misrepresent the game, so we've unpublished the videos that form the basis of the article.

We'll be able to bring you a full analysis of a more advanced build of the game in the coming weeks.

We'd like to apologise to our readers and to Slightly Mad Studios for this unintentional misrepresentation.

Good point. Maybe they underestimated demand and to avoid wasting the first weeks sales potential they need to print more copies, or maybe they realised there were some annoying bugs and they need to do more testing and release a day one patch, or a day one patch could be released to add some extra features that beta testers liked more than predicted and that could improve sales. Maybe a little of all this and some other reasons too.

A real benchmark driving game. I'll look forward to it... on my Wii U.

Doesn't bode well for the wii u version. I wonder when they'll actually show it.

At this point I'd be surprised if the Wii U version even sees the light of day.

But then why they show us the new trailers with " PS4/XBO/WIIU/PC" on the title?

That´s a Namco Bandai trailer yesterday.

Also, why they told everyone less than a week ago that the WiiU and SteamOs versions are coming this year?

Do you really think that this is a blatant lie? Because that would be a HUGE scandal.

If they are ahead enough in the development, they won't throw away the work already done, but they could wait for Wii U to have a larger user base to launch its version.

They would be very stupid if they release the game one year later, very stupid. You just cant release a 720p version of the game one year later and expect tha game to sell. Even if its a good port.

PS4 version has better Shadow, less jaggies, higher resolution and better performance. Yes the Xbox One version looks good too, but the benefits of the PS4 version are crystal clear.

I've been saying this for a while. We have been seeing Xbox One optimized games that are ported to the PS4. Newly developed games are going to start optimizing for the PS4 first and porting to the Xbox One. It's the logical step considering PS4's dominance. Everyone (including me) expected the Xbox One to dominate the US and UK until the announcement, so the situation is understandable. This is the reason developers couldn't put in a few easy lines of code to bother with full AF on the PS4 versions release, making it obvious that this were quickly ported to the PS4. Things are only going to get better for PS4 owners.
