As for now, 3DS in 2015 have sold better than in all other year.

2015: 734,000
2012: 647,000
2013: 558,000
2014: 405,000
2011: 398,000

But if we talk only about 2014, it is currently at +80%.

If 3DS will sell by now 100,000 ALL NPD of 2015 by October, 450,000 unit in November, and 700,000 in December NPD...

WILL STILL BE UP YOY!!!!!!!!

 

Last year 3DS have sold 2,550,000 unit in the US. seriusly you still think that 3DS will sell less???

I think it will be up from 2014, but it really needs some releases in US for the 2nd half of 2015

Going by this pattern, and if the 3DS continues to get great games, I'm certain it'll go up.

I think it might be up but it needs fire emblem new pokemon rythem heaven and everything else for the holidays to stay ahead.

I think it can be at most 3ds's 2nd best year ever in NA
but at worse 3rd best.

It should be up YoY but in order to beat other years it needs big releases. Fire Emblem is out, but if other games like Pokemon, Rhythm Heaven and maybe Metroid show up, I can see the 3DS having a very good holiday.

3DS had a Pokémon game and Smash.
If they don't have at least two games of the same caliber i doubt they will be able to even match last year's numbers.
A price cut might do the trick, but i doubt Nintendo will want to lose profits on 3DS when Wii U's holiday periods aren't that great to help compensate that price drop. Specially now that Zelda is pretty much a 2016 title.
