The studio has been very public through the entire production process, with console and pc betas, frequent videos and screenshots.
And yet not shown a single thing regarding the WiiU, that relates extremely well to the subject.

Id you're holding on to hope that it will release on the WiiU, you may be waiting for quite some time (most likely eternity).

And none of that was platform specific, so it was probably PC material. Now tell me again where is the indicattor that this version will be cancelled? even though it's been in development for so long and the devs kept confirming it over and over?

Nintendo must be working magic then as Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Yoshi's Woolly World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Smash Bros. Wii U look far better than similar PS3 games.

Even gamecube remasters (Wind Waker HD) look better than similar games like Sly Cooper HD collection and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (a game built from the ground up for the PS3).

LittleBigPlanet 1-3 run at terrible framerates for a 2.5D platformer. Constant 60 fps should be a must for such games.

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale runs at 720p and can't even hold a firm 60 fps while Super Smash Bros. Wii U runs at 1080p and 60 fps even when 8 characters are on screen at the same time.

Modnation Racers looks a lot worse than Mario Kart 8 and runs at a meagre 30fps while Mario Kart 8 runs at a solid 60fps.

Ratchet and Clank into the Nexus is a 4 hour game that can't even hold 30fps most of the time... Super Mario 3D World looks a lot better with a perfect 60fps.

Xenoblade Chronicles X has a much bigger overworld than any PS3 open world game and it looks much better than let's say Skyrim. Of course the PS3 has games with better graphics than XBX, but those aren't huge open world games.

Just correcting that ps3 doesn't have any games with better graphics than XBX.

Off the top of my head, Mirrors edge, Burnout PAradise and Final Fantasy 13 categorically show this statement to be false, a large majority of xbox 360 multiplatform games did look better than the ps3 counterparts, but claiming that NONE look better on the playstation 3 shows either tremendous bias or a serious lack of knowledge.

I know you've been rather critical of the game's graphics, saying it doesn't look great even on a high end PC; may I ask where they fall short? Cos even looking at those console screens, it looks good to me, and if it's 60fps, all the better.

It falls short on the environments for me, at least on the last beta build i bothered to try, but the more glaring issue was the actual gameplay itself, i found it really quite boring and unengaging.

It's pretty much going to end up a game people use to take "pretty screenshots" with, rather than actually playing.

Since we are on the is it coming to wii u or not, I have a feeling that If the xbox and ps4 versions do good enough, they'll finish work on the wii u version. But if they flop (Which it looks they might) I got a bad feeling they will pull the plug on the version that will probably sell the least of them. The only positive I see is that they still talk about the wii u version and include it on trailers, which points to me that it is still in development, if it wasn't, I think they would look to never mention it. But the lack of screen shots is a bit concerning, by understandable since this game is all about the graphics and show an very inferior version doesn't really make sense. Especially since it's not coming until probably holiday time.

The unfortunate more likely reason for continuing to mention the wiiu but not actually show it, would be to avoid the bad press and customer fallout in the run up to the games much delayed launch, its far easier to delay the bad press then quietly sweep it inder the rug while enjoying an influx of good press from the games actual release.

Bad news on its own is just bad news but bad news delivered with good news impacts the effects of the good news.

I do hope they actually forge forward and release a WiiU version, but Im not holding my breath on that one.

Ah, wakarimashita.

So kind of like Crysis back in the day then, I remember that being used for screens more so than as an actual game, haha.

Honestly, all racing sims kinda bore me, I prefer arcade racers.

...12K is a thing now?

It's the new blast processing.

rather then 12 K i would love to see the developer fix the 2d crowd on the background or make it open world . It's not like every one has 12K even only few people has monitor 4k or even a spec to play the game at Ultra in 120 FPS LOL.

2D crowd? Really? It's disappointing.

Are there any stats in regards to:

How many car manufacturers are on board

How many cars we will get

How many tracks we will get

And information on customisation

Looks like I was wrong about the number of cars in the game.  This is a pretty recent video that shows all the cars in the game:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-5B1lBA7oA

It will launch with only 71 cars which is pretty dissapointing for a sim racer.

And for more cars?

As i said, will end up being a "pretty screenshot" game and not a "i play because its fun" game.
