How much would Crash Bandicoot 4 sell (retail and download combined)?

3-4M 46 45.54%

4-5M 11 10.89%

5-6M 18 17.82%

6-7M 7 6.93%

7-8M 2 1.98%

8-9M 2 1.98%

9-10M 8 7.92%

10-11M 1 0.99%

11-12M 0 0%

12-13M 6 5.94%

Total:101

Probably not nearly as much as people think.

The whole "animal mascot with an attitude" thing is so 1990s at this stage and colorful/cartoony games that aren't either Nintendo/Mario or LEGO based have a lot of trouble selling.

See: LittleBigPlanet 3, LittleBigPlanet Karting, Puppeteer, Tearaway, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, etc.

The people who buy things like Uncharted and Last of Us aren't going to want a Crash Bandicoot game. Even kids these days they want either Call of Duty or Minecraft not Crash/Sonic/Spyro. 1996 may as well be 1896 to them.

Knack is a very similar style of game to Crash, it was a new IP and sold a full million, Crash has a well established brand, it's classic, I think it could sell over 5-6M lifetime, it depends entirely on what the developer does with the series and who makes it, in this hypothetical scenario.

If ND made it then I think it could go much higher than 6 million.

People say that knack was like crash all the time. How was it like crash at all? Other than being a mascot platformer

2m if done correctly.

As with all games I'd wait for reviews, but it'd definitely be on my radar and I'd purchase it so long as it's in the 7+ range.

Methinks it would do quite well... hard to put a number on it without knowledge of console sales but if it got great reviews and was heavily advertised it could probably get around 15% of console owners to purchase it.

It has an oldschool brawler/platform style of gameplay, similar feel too Crash IMO. It's of those gameplay/feeling things.

The mascot platformer is a part of it too I guess. Personally I hope we get a new Knack at some point, there's loads SCEJ could do with the series and it sold pretty well too. I had a lot of fun playing Knack, need to go through it again soon and maybe get the platinum for the game.

I'd say at this point Crash has become a bit outdated. If they were to bring anything back which would have decent sales, I'd be more inclined to go with Jak And Daxter. And PLEASE, more like the first Jak, and less like 2 and 3. Honestly, Jak 1 was the closest thing to rival Mario 64 that I've yet seen (that isn't mario!)

PREDICTIONS FOR END OF 2015: (Made Jan 1st 2015)

PS4 - 34M - XB1 - 21m - WII U -12M

My guess would be 2.3m. The series has been dead for a while now.
However I hope I'm wrong about that. Multiplatform would be great too =p XD

if made well and marketed well and also positioned as sony's big franchise

then 8 million
