The complete overload of invasive noisy ads are seriously annoying - especially on mobile. Not sure if the animated sigs are still allowed as I had to ad block them all but when you combine these with ads jumping at you from all angles the site looked a mess.

- Massively undertracked games that came out in 2013...
- VGC 1.0/2.0 was better!

Overall it's pretty great here, 8.5/10

Very well thought out post and agree with most of everything you said.  Do you have any recommendations to fix any of them though?

- Mods can be overbearing on certain issues (like calling out stupidity) but also inactive on the forum itself. Too reliant on reports
- VGC was left alone for a bit, so uncertain future is definitely something odd


There are some other comments. I don't use mobile or see ads, so I'm not affected by two major complaints. I'm very reliant on hot topics/VGC buddy for things, so I miss a lot of good discussion. Using them is great for staying on top of things or lazy browsing, but as prof said, you can miss out on the meatier things this way.

Guys, we have a thread where you can voice your opinions on the mod team and give reasons for criticism/critiques/etc., but this thread isn't that thread.

I did ask for them to talk about the moderating as well.  I think it is important to know what people has on their mind in all terms of the website including moderating.  

Im not telling you that you should allow it, but i am asking that you let people do that in this thread this one time.  I dont think anybody is trying to bash anybody, just speaking their mind

i wouldnt dare speak out about what i dislike about this site again lol.

All these posts tell me that people on here like themselves more than they deserve.

The biggest negative I can think of is the ads. This site has very intrusive ads, especially on mobile devices. Honestly, it wouldnt be too bad if the pages would load correctly or didnt redirect you to the app store. In an age where mobile browsing is replacing computer browsing... This site is very behind the times.

Otherwise, i like just about everything else about the site.

+ community - I've had disagreements with people (or at least argued opposite sides of a discussion) and can still have civil conversations with those users on other topics (thinking of Indiana's Prop 101 here)

- nothing new wish the numbers were updated again
- Wish the games DB was up to date and a little more complete
