Meh, it seems more like a propaganda site than a really gamer one.

There is some of that here too, but it isn't as bad.

I like NeoGAF because it's more laid back than here. The moderation there isn't very strict, yet for some reason the trolling and baiting aren't big issues there the way it is here. Usually, when a commenter trolls are tries to ruin a thread, people gang up on him and show him his actions aren't welcome. Which means people think twice before shitting things up.

Anyway, what I like most there is the fact that a lot of developers take part in the discussion, making it easy to interact with actual members of the industry. It's especially neat when you get to interact with a dev that made a game that you enjoyed. 

Well, you can't sign up with a free email account and it takes months to be accepted. I won't do this to become a member, but I'm visiting it for news.

What annoys me is that an infamous permabanned user from here is still trolling there like it's 2013. The mods don't care...

Well when I open VGC I see how a propaganda site is... NeoGAF is not even close to that.

They suck. They banned me.

Seriously their mods are elitist assholes.

I dislike Neogaf because of the crappy layout (it's simple but also very cheap looking) and the hivemind mentality. I don't feel like there's much open discussion about controversial things and that it's just a bunch of people agreeing with one another or chastising the one person who dared to speak differently.

To add: the mods do ban on personal opinion, bias, and favoritism. I've never been banned and my acount is 7 years old. I've used neogaf to find people to play random games with or discuss anime. I've generally stopped doing both because none of them were nice experiences.
