If they don't care about profits, they could do this, but they would definitely be losing money on the deal.

The hardware will be over 2 years old by then. Which is half way through many consoles life cycles. It's an entire More's Law cycle and another 1/3. People complained about it being under powered, now it's too expensive? What gives?
Plus, let's add some the collectible Halo V Red vs Blue controllers. That give you some kind of bonus colour armor or something.
The only part about this idea I'm not crazy about is I think one is missing out if they don't have a Kinect. So perhaps a special Cortana branded special edition Kinect to go with it?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |

Exactly! Even the Xbox 360 cut a price cut after 2 years, so I don't know why people are saying a price cut is not needed. As for the kinect, sounds like a cool idea, but I can't change the description. Anyway yeah I agree I think this should have more votes.
$299 xbox one is a loss and not required this early in the gen
