No no no phil spencer,Nintendo will not advertise/promote your new Banjo game that is not in development for Wii U

They will, however, promote the Mega Man game which is not in development for Wii U!

Or anything else, for that matter.

Im sure your being sarcastic, but just in case your not. There are tons of MM games on DS and VC. Those VC games may not be new, but its a hellavah lot more than what other consoles are getting. Nintendo is leading big time as the place to find megaman games.

And in some way they would have to own both consoles to be happy if that were to occur...would it not? (Specifically to enjoy Banjo, period) Thats all I am saying. They might as well go dual console if they want some love from Banjo. Personally, Bayonetta deserves that love. ;)

P.S.

Its wishful thinking until it happens. Microsoft would have to license the character to them and we'd get the news for it.

Its like Sony having to give Spiderman back to Marvel.

Sony is letting Spiderman appear in the Marvel universe movies, though.

Phil literally said that it could be done. He's the guy in charge, and Microsoft has put Xbox exclusive franchises on Nintendo before, including Banjo. If they'd make a full game for a handheld, they'd have no problem giving a character a cameo in a game about cameos.

They wouldn't have to own both consoles, just like a GBA owner didn't need an Xbox to be happy with Banjo GBA. I don't see a problem with Banjo, a previously Nintendo character, making a cameo in a game celebrating the history of both Nintendo, and gaming. And neither does Phil. Phil just confirmed that it's not. The only people that would stop this now are Nintendo and lack of demand.

Especially when Banjo is more (damn cant think ofthe word, known for?) being with Nintendo. Its like Sora, i see him as more of a Sony character than Nintendo depite about equal number of gamesfor each platform (excluding the 1.5x/2.5x collection)

Cool, just like I said above. If MS to wants development their own games for competitor consoles..fine go ahead. Should Nintendo advertise/promote games not playable on their consoles? Noooo.

It's not an advertizement dude. It's a legacy character in a legacy game. And who care's if it advertizes Banjo in the process? Does it hurt Nintendo? No. Does it hurt fans? No. Does it hurt Xbox? No. Does it hurt Banjo? No. Is it good for literally everybody? Yes. I don't see the issue.

Haven't played Sly? Well this is another case where trophies are useful. I got the platinum, that proves I played it

Not even close to Spyro or Crash though.

You've played the first. The first one isn't better than Crash or Spyro, the three next are though.

Really? Well I did buy the Sly trilogy, so I guess I'll have to try the next ones out

Same thing with Ratchet & Clank, the first one is mediocre, but the sequels were massive improvements. Then they made the Future trilogy, which is a real masterpiece.

From the creators of Kinect Sports, here's a character from a beloved IP that will never appear on a Nintendo system ever again. Enjoy it while you can, and wipe away your salty tears.

It wouldn't be the first time Nintendo allows MS IP into their system.

They also had a diddy kong game, but thats diffrent.

If MS wants to development their own game and put it on 3DS, thats fine ... and stupid, but it is no work/time/energy from Nintendo. BUT, for Nintendo to support competition in THEIR games with THEIR money and that character and game NOT be found on THEIR system? No.

With Diddy Kong Racing DS, Diddy Kong and all Donkey Kong-related characters were NIntendo-owned. It was the non DK characters that belonged to Rare and ones that Rare most likely had to license to Nintendo. Banjo and Conker wasn't in the DS version most likely because the cost to license them was too high. With Banjo on Smash...it could happen. It would appeal to older fans than it would to newer fans though.

In fact, if Microsoft were smart, they would be better off licensing the franchise itself on Nintendo consoles since an IP like Banjo really no chance in hell of selling on Xbox One. Yes, Microsoft would technically be supporting the competition but at least they would be making money off of an IP that they hardly do anything with.

Your right, it helps everyone.

Nintendo: More Money, possibility of some buying a wiiu and SSB just because a beloved character is in the game (same could be said with megaman and snake in SSBB)

MS: Free advertisement, Banjo in a good game thats well known, His image could be restored (like megaman when capcom let him die).

Really? How do you know that?

Meanwhile, Nintendo is like "how much would you be willing to pay us to put him in"
