So no, as I said many times in other Zelda delay threads, I don't think it will be released on the NX, which I still think is the next handheld.


Just some good ole' fashioned speculation. I just find it wierd that Nintendo says 2016 but the pre order date is a year in advance. Of course, I know it's Amazon but hey. I know NX is a handheld for now but what if it's only half the story.

Amazon date doesn't mean much.

If I recall correctly, Amazon had a date for Bloodborne on PC, and that pretty much got debunked by the developers.

Amazon dates are as reliable as tea leaves. They had Splatoon listed for December 31 2015 for a long time.

The Press Release from Nintendo following Anouma's delay announcement said Zelda would not be released in 2015 (some people thought Anouma left some possibility for a 2015 release) and further said it could be delayed into  2017-   

 

so i would nt be surprised at all with a 2017 release-  I kind of expect a 2017 release

He never said that

My post says  the Nintendo PRESS RELEASE said that becase Anouma did not-   His message was a litte more vague than the follow up PR from Nintendo

Amazon is one of the worlds largest retailers- SO they would know before most if they want to-
having said tht i have not seen anythng- or looked re Amazon s date but who knows it may be a place holder or may not-
I have looked for anything directly from Nintendo indicating 2016 and i can t find that either- I think the main part of their message was that it won t be in 2015 and t won t be at e-3- so beyond that they are not willing to give much if any detail
