Sounds pretty cool, Nvidia WTF !!! When it comes to CPUs I´m a AMD man though.

and i dont think we cna expect a 1GHZ core, ebcuase no matter what, Nvidia outperforms ATI ( i used to be an ATI fanboy untill i saw the chart) so im guess closer to 8XX's, mabey low 9XX's on the o factory OC'd ones. btu i dont think they like to put as high speed into them, which is odd, cause if the 9600 ran at 850 and 2.4GHZ it would kcik the 2870s ass bigtime

on a personal note, i would say this is incorrect, because the 9600 was jsut released in febuary, and the 9800 is coming out soonn, unless you are talking about a chipset. that would make more sense, im nto saying ur lying, i jsut have a sard time believing they would make a totally new GPU in 3 months.

 Considering how much time went between the 8800 release and the 9600 release its not surprising at all that the 9800s are so far along.  If anything I'm surprised that they aren't ready to release them today.

Also, note that nVidia isn't restricted to only a single team of designers.  Its likely they have a setup where a main design team works on new hardware lines like the 8800 and 9800 etc... and other teams that work on revising those architectures into the low end cards etc....in short one team is actually making the breakthroughs and another team is doing the more mundane changes. But that just my speculation on the subject.

I gotta say I like AMD over Intel but I like Nvidia over ATI.

How can you like AMD over Intel, I mean AMD started as a company stealing everything form Intel (not talking about marketshare here).

I love keeping up on nVidia's stuff, it is a great indicator to were the next PS will be heading. I upgrade every 3 years to try to do my part in pushing the development in GPU's. This sounds like great news as I am looking to revamp my PC next Fall, So this unit should be in a decent price range come then.
