Let's talk about 2015 and the quality games it will have and already does have and how it already is miles better than 2014. Let's also predict some meta scores. A lot of big games this year.

Dying Light - 74 meta (should've been much higher)

Bloodborne - 93 meta (might go up, might go down)

Ori and the Blind Forest - 89 meta

The Witcher 3 - 96 meta?

Mortal Kombat X - 84 meta?

Batman Arkham Knight - 94 meta?

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - 95 meta?

Ratchet & Clank - 82 meta? (haven't seen anything about the game, just a random prediction)

Until Dawn - 76 meta? (hard to predict, reviewers destroyed the order, not sure what they'll do for this game)

Halo 5- 87 meta?

The Division - 91 meta?

Persona 5 - no idea, can people make predictions based on previous persona games?

The Legend of Zelda - 96 meta?

Xenoblade Chronicles X - 92 meta?

Star Fox - 85 meta?

Yoshi's Wooly World - 87 meta? (this looks so fun)

Splatoon - 84 meta?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - 90+ meta (don't give a fuck what you guys think, i'm excited for this)

Quantum Break - 88 meta?

Rise of the Tomb Raider - 90 meta?

Discuss more games brahs

LOL why would Witcher 3 have the highest metascore? It's gonna do good but it will not pass Bloodborne. Witcher 2 had 88. Zelda will be in the high 80s, low 90s just like the other Zeldas since OoT.

Which doesn't mean it's gonna get 96. You are too spoiled with the scores you are expecting, giving 95s, 96s like it's nothing. Relax man, those scores come like once or twice in a year. Almost none of those games will score higher than 93. Zelda might barely make it to 93, Witcher 3 definitely will not.

Why? That's how they usually score.

I don't think Zelda U is going to score that highly... more like around 92-94, imo

For perspective: Skyward Sword (93), Windwaker (96), Twilight Princess (95), Ocarina of Time (99), and Majora's Mask (95.) Considering how this Zelda game is what the fans have been asking for for a while now, with a huge less linear, open-world, it seems almost impossible for it to have an average Metacritic less than Skyward Sword, a Zelda game that had a lot of things to pick on (motion controls, world design, visuals, etc.) The Legend of Zelda, when it comes to the 3D console releases, seems to be one of, if not the highest (due to OoT), reviewed video game series.

All 3D Zeldas since OoT have rated either 93 or higher. Again, Skyward Sword (93), Twilight Princess (95), Majora's Mask (95), Windwaker (96), and OoT (99.) Only remakes/top-down Zelda have been rated in the high 80's.

i gave two 96's. one to zelda and one to witcher.  zelda will probably get a 96 man, i mean it's not that out there to predict a very high zelda score.

But there's only been one 3D Zelda to have one in the low 90s (none in the 80s) and that was Skyward Sword (possibly the most polarizing 3D Zelda ever made). Not saying it'll have a 96 (especially with how harsh reviewers are this gen) but it really shouldn't have a problem surpassing SS, which had a 93.

It's not even high. Your estimate is probably close. 95 or 96 seems like where it will land. The average 3D Zelda review score (from metacritic) is 95.6.

I am playing through Dying Light right now and I am liking it a lot, but others must be seeing the Dead Island in it right? I actually loved both the first 2 Dead Islands, but this seems almost exactly the same but with parkour, a slightly more flushed out story, and a night cycle. The weapons, enemies, engine, many sound effects, upgrades, quest types, looting, crafting, maps, color coding and gameplay are the exact same. Did the Dead Island games bomb and no one played them or did others like them just like I did? I am surprised I haven't heard more about the comparison unless I just missed it. In fairness it is the same dev as well I guess.

For sure, I hope that it will score highly, but must just be my pessimism that makes me think otherwise. I don't mind the cel shaded style but am not sure about others... after what Nintendo shown with the tech demo, it surprised many.
