Possibly... but having stable 3D is what got the n3DS attention. Sure, I'd probably find the C-stick and ZRZL buttons more useful, but it's not a true selling point. Most 3DS games can't even utilize the extra buttons. If you want to sell an upgraded handheld to the masses, you'll need more than  buttons as a main selling point..

Yeah, but all the games that marketed the N3DS and and launched with it did and too. I think it would have sold roughly just as much without the 3D upgrade.

But even the games that promoted the extra buttons were limited as well. Prior to the 3DS announcement in the direct, there were quite a few 3DS games that did not have any extra benefits with the extra buttons while the stable 3D would..

Well, I'm speaking in general because for me, the best selling feature for the n3DS is a better processor and hardware since I barely use 3D in the first place..

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Around the Network

I like 3D but use it only in calm games: Fire Emblem, Professor Layton, LoZaLBW. I have not bought MK7, SM3DL, Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion and other "acton" games because I want to use 3D with these games. But if I loose the 3D "sweet spot" I have to find it again and loose concentration on the game., I find this annoying even in "non-action" games!
I was very happy to hear about this improved 3D function and will buy a NN3 DS after the summer.

(FE, PL and other "non-action" games was my first priority in buying a 3DS)

Super stable 3D still isn't enough for me, I move around so much that it still goes out of alignment... XD

Wait...if the super-stable 3D was already pretty much developed by Nintendo before they decided to put it in the N3DS...then what were they developing it for I wonder?

NX a handheld confirmed? :P

I bought the N3DS for the C-stick mostly, but I love supper stable 3D! So thumbs up for Miyamoto once more! I always thought I wouldn't get to experience 3D because of my eye sight. Didn't do anything for me on the OG 3DS, nor does it work for me in the cinema with glasses on, but on the N3DS... Somehow it works for me. Man when that *spoiler* giant turtle apears to take you to Great Bay Temple *end of spoiler* in Majora's Mask... That... was... incredible!

I always though it was on(seperate Console and handheld) show 2016 release 2017.2017 show Wii U's succ 18 launch
Its evidence I think that supports this ..that its a handheld

Super stable 3D is the only reason I've paid it any attention.
