How many of you people actually own the two systems?
You can't be hyped for a game that will be released on a console you don't own / don't intend to get. I suggest to change the title to "WiiU or PS4"... just like with every FFXV and X thread.

... Just another day on the internet

You can certaintly get hyped for a game that is on a console on you don't own. People that don't own a Wii U are hyped for Zelda and will get a Wii U because of it. You can still be hyped for a game that is on a console you don't own.

X but never played the Souls series. Bloodborne looks cool though would probably get if I had a PS4. My brother's getting it so i'll try it probably.

I'm not into the Souls series and don't plan on buying a PS4, so that rules Bloodborne out. As for Xenoblade Chronicles X, I've no interest in it due to its combat system, even if JRPGs are my favorite games I had to put the first Xenoblade back in the shelves after only two hours, the auto-attack effectively drained any enjoyment I could have had with the game. I'll have to choose neither, just give me Splatoon.

Xenoblade, I simply crave a lengthy JRPG more so than an action RPG.

PLUS ill just wait for the inevitable Bloodborne GOTY edition.

Considering Dark Souls is one of my favourite games ever and I never played a Xeno- game, it's not really a fair comparison for me.

Bloodborne, quite a game that built a genre on it's own has Demon's Souls and Bloodborne is trying to do this, again, plus both are linked.

Lmao, what? No it didn't. The Souls games are a revival of a genre, not a creation of one. That's like saying FFVII "built a genre," just because it had mass market success.

Xenoblade Chronicals X. I dont have a PS4 so bloodborne is not an option for me.

You can laugh all you want and it'll still be true. Or you can tell me what Demon's Souls revived, because not even it's inspirations as King's Field and Shadow Tower are what it is, and after that we have Dark Souls, Lords of Fallen and others, and now Bloodborne pushing it to a more active go.

Demon's Souls wasn't even a mass market sucess to you even want to put FF7 here, so I have no clue what are you even talking about.

Of course they are what it is. The only differences come from normal difference between to games. But a different and new genre birthed from the Souls games? Not even close.

Not even comparable. I'm super excited for Xeno. I'm not even interested in Bloodborn.

King's Field are 1st person slow games, Demon's Souls are 3rd person action games, both are dark rpgs but they are not even close to each other, seriously, what's the deal? Demon's Souls and King's Field are the same genre? So Resident Evil and Call of Duty are as well, because you know, you use guns to shoot stuff in both...

Why is there need for a new genre to describe Dark Souls/ Demon's Souls/Bloodborne? They fit perfectly fine in the ARPG genre. Your comparison is more like Halo vs. Call of Duty moreso than Resident Evil vs. Call of Duty. Just because they have features unique to their series and they have clones does that make them part of some distinct genre.
