i really like that they are focusing completely on next gen only i hope more japanese devs do this as soon as possible, and i cant wait to see what other games they have on store since i already really like Disgaea.

AWESOME, they really get it that's the whole reason why a lot of people hold out on getting a next gen console, a lot of people on Japanese games news sites, always laugh when games are announced to be PS3 and PS4 and they say stuff like "LOL i guess i really don't have a reason to buy a PS4", but if the developers just focus on next gen and just do games for them, they will give those platforms more exclusive games and therefore more value and reasons for gamers to buy them, PLUS if they focus just on next gen they can utilize the whole power of this machines without being hold back by last gen tech, (and yes i do realize Japanese games aren't that demanding but still its a pretty good thing).

I wonder if it will be a 2nd party type situation where Sony publishes their games. That would definitely help grow their audience in the west getting Sony involved with marketing.

 

To add I am sure this has been in the works for a while but I said we would see stuff like this from JRPGs and smaller titles from Japan after seeing how bad T-0 is doing on the XB1.

that's a nice push for the current gen, maybe it will open the eyes of other JP devs to start getting with the program. last gen went on for way too long. welcome NIS

They do a lot of games. RPGs and specially SRPGs, they are quite good at it to be honest, but their audience it's pretty niche.

Disgaea series, which is getting a sixth main game tomorrow in Japan and later this year here on the West are their biggest series, sadly this new PS4 exclusive game seems like will be a major flop in Japan according to the COMG charts. That's tell you how niche they are, gladly seems like some folks in Europe, Usa and me likes it and it can make them some money.
