I wouldn't recommend watching this. He enters areas we haven't seen before.

I dont mind, the game will be very hard so i will end up watching videos on youtube a lot to beat it as its my first souls game. Of course for a Souls veteran watching these videos should be avoided

Really?  This doesn't make any sense to me.  Why wouldn't you try to beat it yourself first without any spoilers/help?

First souls game? Well, I hope that you really like it then. I won't watch those vids until after I started playing it.

It would be wise of him to cherry pick some guides for needed info on first playthrough.

it took around 40sec to restart from last checkpoint... that sux...

Is bloodborne set perpetually at night because everything i have seen so far takes place in darkness.

?

Why? I'll admit that I've never played the souls series...but I think of games like puzzles and losing at a game and getting lost in a game is the funnest part to me. Once I've beaten a game, and if I really can't find everything I was looking for, I'll look it up sometimes. To each his own, the concept is just foreign to me.

I'm the same with the majority of other games but with a souls game, I'm not. First thing with a souls game, info about the game is extremely limited in-game. Nothing is ever really explained to you. Certain creatures and bosses in general drop highly valuable upgrade materials that have one time use in that playthrough. If you squader the material, you'll have to wait til new game plus to get more of it. For example, a boss's soul can be used to either upgrade or create a special weapon, unlock a spell or miracle or consume it for xp/money. You won't know any details about a specific boss's soul until you look it up. It's very easy to ruin a playthrough. The first playthrough is the easy mode version. After you beat the game, you'll go into new game + and it's twice as hard as the first playthrough. Each time you beat the game, it makes it harder. If you want decent weapons and gear in new game plus then you have to know how to obtain that gear.

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. Definitely sounds interesting. I still think I'd probably not watch videos or read walkthroughs, by I more than understand why you would.

On topic: Just watched the video...like Rol said, major clipping. That's not going to review well, is it?? Who knows. Also, what's up with the funny ladder animation? Not sure if it's the camera angle or what, but there's something definitely awkward there.

I have tried to avoid spoilers but I have gathered the darkness is a story element that you clear and get daylight sequences.
