Because not doing so is retarded, if you want to play those games you can buy imports in pretty much every mall in china.
That launch line up is the biggest failure I've ever seen. Sony didnt do this right, so many non violent games they could've brought over, Driveclub would've been a good starting point to introduce the Chinese with current gen exclusive graphics.
I think FFXIV: A Realm Reborn would have been the best decision for a launch title in China

doesnt mean it should be tolerated and viewed as okay. Censoring it will also hurt potential sales because people will pirate it and rather spent money on chinese games which is good for china
