Sorry, I assumed since the discussion was directed toward me specifically in regards to the shields thing that you were adding in. |
No problem, after reading your previous disscussion i can see why you thought that.

I will get it eventually either ways (since I don't have a ps4 yet) but when I do have a ps4, this is one of the first games that I will pick up and the only way I wont be picking this game up is if it gets below 70

Guns are clearly replacing magic, and early players say throwable arcane weapons are basically a new form of magic too. There are less weapons in general, but they are far more unique. I do wish there were more weapons, but again this has no effect on whether or not it is an RPG. |
I never said it wasn't an RPG. I said it loss RPG elements. Customization, micro-management, and role-playing are RPG elements. I've yet to see any class act dependently on guns like Sorceror (and Pyromancer) in Dark Souls relied on magic, and throwable items were already in Dark Souls as extra attacks, not as a core gameplay. This game focuses much more on diverse action-management and less on micro-management and class diversity, therefore it loss RPG elements and gained Action elements. It didn't lose them all of course, as you noted, there is still leveling and stats involved.

I've played the Dark Soul's series and Demon's Souls. It is not only speed. Shields are missing, magic is missing, and additionally you have your weapons change mid-combat. It is obvious that this game is more of an Action game and less of an RPG (although still an Action RPG) You have less specialization before combat, and more versatility within combat. Classes are much less useful, seemingly. From the videos I've watched, all characters play similarly. Seriously, here are the classes: Standard Hunter - Saw Cleaver + Blunderbuss Heavy Hunter - Hunter's Axe + Pistol Sword & Heavy Attack Hunter - Kirkhammer + Blunderbuss Agile Hunter - Warped Twinblades + Pistol.
In the soul's games you have ten classes, and magic ones are included. All classes played very differently, while here you have classes sharing the same secondary weapon type, of which there are two. |
lol, dude those aren't the classes.
Those were just pre-built characters for the Alpha, in the actual game character building works exactly like the previous souls games.
you clearly need to do more research, and stop spreading your ignorance.

We will have massive complaints about how ugly it is, because every 8th gen game is ugly and doesnt live up to the next gen hype. It will also be recieved poorly for being too hard and being to fast to the point where it feels like a poor hack and slash. Also enemy design, the enemy design in this game isnt even close to previous Souls games, the music hasnt been great so far, deaths feel cheap, online is unstable and most importantly its a PS4 exclusive.
It should get the same score like bayonetta 2, if not i will blame anti sony conspiracy. Even 85 wouldnt be enough
