I get what you're saying but It's not really a big deal for me and I don't like points being reduced unless it's actually because the gameplay/story and such could be better. If a day 1 patch fixes long load times as a reviewer I wouldn't deduct points because of that.

I think reading through Dtoid's review gives a pretty good summary of why a 9 is a valid score. Reviews aren't written with the game starting at a 10 and dropping for every flaw, more often then not, the scores are given through how the player felt about the game instead of some rigid system of mathematics, which doesn't represent their feeling.
