camon man, this is a lightning summon, must be more effective on water monsters, it can only be used when you are about to die and you dont get exp if you do it, its a powerfull spell like ff 6, ff7 , ff8 , ff9. Why is this a problem in ff 15 now? This is metod of doing damage in combat and combat is gameplay.

on strategy rpg's, it works (and you can summon anytime). the problem with 15 is that it's an action rpg. the activation should be different than "hold A when dying" and some control over the summon would be better. Something like ramuh being on the background and powering noctis with lightning powers or you directly controlling a smaller version of ramuh, that would be good.

it's a demo after all guys and actually Tabata did said that he didn't intended to bring summons to the demo but he did and said it will  look and play  different with  the final game. It's obvious he just teasing the people especially old fan of FF.

In your opinion, I dont like the sound of that at all and I dont see many FF fans advocating for that anytime soon. Summons always provide support and you rarely have any control over them. FFXIII had Ghestalt mode but it was useless and annoying imo. Also the "hold A when dying" mechanic reminds me of how Limit Breaks were implemented in VIII and extent to an extent VI. In fact the official name for them in VI is "Desperation Attack". http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Desperation_Attack

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I honestly hope it's slightly different. I'm not a fan of the "summon while dying" stuff; it's like a get-out-of-jail free card. He didn't attack the Behemoth at all (the supposed boss of the demo) and all the summon had to do was attack once. OP and not challenging at all if you ask me

#1 Amb-ass-ador

I didn't watch it yet but I like how the ability to summon is integrated into the gameplay and comes with consequences. I like the fact that he didn't gain any Exp from the winning the battle. A big waste.

Different summons apparently require different situations to trigger. If that is not gameplay I don't know what is ^^

You can die right?  It would be worrying itf you can just escape death every time. I guess I'll have to wait till I try it for myself.

If you want I can give you a kind of spoiler-free version of what he did in the video. It will only recall what the player did and how the player gets the summon

"You shall not pass!"

I haven't actually played the demo myself but i like what i've seen so far.

And thats why the game takes 60 hours to beat. What a long animation that was.

In an action RPG, my example seems better. think about KH 3d special attacks, you could control some of them but you had to fill the special bar for all. ramuh on FF 15 seemed too automatic, with no player interaction.
