NeDa is going to develop these games. Nintendo still make games for their own hardware. It's perfectly possible to do both things. |
My post already suggests that they will do both. They are dipping their toes in the water. This could be one of the biggest moments in ninty history.

And most likely only a small part of nintendo will do that.
where do you guy see that %32 up in Nintendo´s stock? Is there any link?

My thoughts exactly. But I honestly don't mind lower quality games for a more casual audience/environment (i.e. smartphone) if it nets them more profit. I can only see good things coming from this.
It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

I am reading the games will be co-developed by both so, yeah, Nintendo is now making games for mobile. I'm curious as to which EAD team will move to mobile.
It may be too late the party. Both Zynga (of FarmVille and Words with Friends fame) and Kind Digital (Candy Crush) are down more than 20% from their IPOs. Zynga closed at $2.62 Tuesday — down 82% from its peak.
That said, it could be that this companys were not able to come up with new ideas after their hits.

Not a single one. You honestly believe they're going to put teams that are a hundred men big on just mobiles lol?
It just occurred to me that the Brain Age series might have a shot at relevance again after a decade...
Have a nice day...

They'll probably allocate one medium sized group at EAD to mobile.
Designers will be able to moonlight in if they have some weird/quirky idea that they want to make, it may also be where young Nintendo designers have to cut their teeth under the supervision of older/nearing retirement designers.
One team could make a ton of smartphone titles though, you look at a game like Nintendo Land ... that's basically like 12 smartphone games, that's enough smartphone content to cover most of a calendar year.
The amount of work Nintendo puts into just one game could be several iOS titles.
