Forums - Sales - Destiny Passes 10 million Sales Retail

I just check the data base, it is at 10.1 million. I dont have  VGC pro so I cant see what it is selling per week, but the PS4, XB1 and 360 version all still chart on Amazon best sellers) The game had a pretty big digital push so I would assume its much higher, but either way very impressive for a new IP.

Halo 3 sold 12 million(on one system of course so much more impressive to be sure). So it is safe to say Destiny is or will soon be Bungie's best selling game ever.

Back when I was hyped about it in august I predicted like 15 million which I thought was pretty crazy for a new IP, including digital I think it will reach that by the end of its life.

Congrats to Destiny, can't wait to play this game soon. Really wish they'd announce the full version with all the DLC included.

Trust me you're better off not buying this game

Anyway, I hope Destiny 2 is several steps above the first game. I know I'll be waiting next time on this game. Also congrats on 10 million in sales.

they kinda did you just have to buy them seperate. I think you can pick up Destiny with the 1st DLC for like 45 bucks (30 for game and 15 for dlc) and when the 2nd is release even if they do you drop the prices further you will be able to buy the full set of 60 bucks. I am sure if they packaged them they would sell it for 60.

If mean that as a warning that your life will gets sucked away I agree. If you are trying to say the game sucks I greatly disagree. Its not perfect but many of the most annoying issues around launch are gone (mainly the loot system overhaul, the original one was so abusive... lol)

More than they deserve, less than I imagine Activision expected given the amount of money they threw at it and the hype leading up to launch

It doesn't suck, but it's not a great game either. I'll say it's average, there is defenitely a lot Bungie can do to make the next game light years better than the first game. Also I agree on the loot system, I think it should be more like Borderlands . I don't want to feel like I'm grinding and not getting any better gear until dozens of hours later.

You can use the comparison tool: http://www.vgchartz.com/tools/game_comparison.php

Hopefully Destiny 2 will launch in a state worthy of 10mil sales. I know a lot of people have fun with this game, more power to you. Still a game with serious flaws and one that launched ruthlessly lacking in content with a loot system to pad out the grind.

Congrats Destiny, looking foward to the sequel.
