Forums - Gaming - Darksiders 2 coming to PS4!

I still need to get this for Wii U. Although I'd like to play Darksiders 1 before that. I have such an issue with playing games out of order.

I couldn't recommend this franchise enough.

There's tons of content and the boss fights are epic.

FYI Darksiders one and two both run parallel to each other so they aren't exactly sequels - as in, the events that happen in number one are happening at the same time that number two is playing out.  War has been accussed of calling about the apocalypse ahead of schedule and he must prove himself innocent, while Death is scavenging heavel hell and earth trying to find him.  The remaining two horseman are presumedly supposed to be in game #3. As someone who isn't religious I find the whole heaven vs hell with humanity being wiped out aspect to be highly fascinating.

The Darksiders games are basically the PS and XB's Zelda games, only darker and a bit more challenging. I think you'll love them. You'd be better off starting with the first to get familiar with the setting and characters, then play the sequel.

The original is super cheap on PSN as well. Was only £4 here in the UK when I bought it, only downside is the size, it's 10gb.

I've heard that quite a few times, and those are only encouraging words considering my love for the Zelda franchise. Although I have heard 2 is a bit more hack-and-slash than the original (not that I mind though).

I'm one of those weirdos that prefers to buy physical copies unless I'm absolutely forced, so I'd probably just end up buying it on Amazon or something, lol.

The darksiders games are really fun. I loved the first one but the last part broke me, I just couldnt finish it

i really cant blame those who label this gen as the gen of remasters and ports...

Good to know! It looks like a very interesting series, and one that I would enjoy immensely.

And that makes sense. Though I'd still opt to play 1 before 2, just because I've screwed this up so many times for myself. (ex: Playing Dead Space in the order 3->1->2, Uncharted in 2->1->3, the Arkham games City -> Asylum -> Origins, etc.) I'm not religious either, but that storyline sounds intense! Kinda reminds me of Bayonetta with its heaven vs hell themes.

Ah, that's understandable. I hope you enjoy them if you get them, you should have a look on Youtube to see if they genuinely interest you first.

Of course! I never blindly purchase a game. Well, except that one time I bought Sonic 06. I don't like to talk about that though.

A bit dissapointing the first isnt also included, the new publishers are probably using this to gauge interest in the future of the series.

If memory serves, they are working on this to help fund the third game. Either way I bought Darksiders 2 on the Wii U eshop and it has been a great experience. There are some frame rate issues, but after a while it didn't even faze me. Plus it came with DLC included so I didn't miss out on much of anything.

No worries. Darksiders 2 is a prequel.
