Forums - Nintendo - codename steam review thread! 72 metacritc!

I find the weighting system on Metacritic to be frustrating a lot of times. If a couple heavily weighted reviewer gives you a bad score and the others aren't outright worshipping you with nines and tens, you're boned. This game isn't the only example either, just the latest.

Nintendo shouldn't have spoken on how well their games do through Metacritic, it was almost too easy. 0 - 3 in recently reviewed games. Next up, Mario Party 10.

Why not? It's still higher than The Order.

Let's not drag these comparisons into this thread please. Down that road leads disaster.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

You've gave me a good idea. Hopefully I can execute.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Seems about right from what I've seen. And damn, people dismissing Gamespot when recently they gave Bayo 2 a 10.. Also, A Link Between Worlds as their GOTY for one year (2013?).

Although, it's entirely okay if you hated the review based on what you played, but idk about dismissing the whole site in general.

Yeah, still better than The Order. Nintendo wins again ha!

As a guy who usually treats Gamespot as his main site I am disappointed in their reviewers. They are using more freelancers than ever before, so you never know what you're going to get from them. It also really makes it hard to trust their reviews. Any freelancer with an agenda and you got disasters.

Ryse PC, Kirby, this? And it applies to other genres, consoles, and reviews. Most of their reviewers I have never seen or heard from since their review.

Dang, that Gamespot score.

The score isn't the issue. Look at the GameSpot review. His biggest complaint is that enemies have idle animations so it takes actual timing to shoot them. This is supposedly a problem for some reason. He also complains that the characters don't "level up or change" while admitting that you can get them new gear and weapons, but apparently that doesn't count because they aren't absolutely necessary for progression.

Of course this happened. GameSpot set a complete nobody to review the game. As far as I can tell, this is only his second review for the site -- previously he was a writer for Paste Magazine. Compare that to IGN, who gave the review to Jose Otero, the head of their Nintendo coverage and a longtime writer for IGN and, before that, 1UP.

80 from GameTrailers. At a 74 meta now

Does GameTrailers not count in these? Seems to be 8 overall save for a few. Let`s just not count Gamespot, huh. : P
