This sarcastic post of yours actually doesn't seem too far from the reality on VGC.

Its all but obvious you wouldn't accept the truth, and I wouldn't believe your crap. So lets end the discussion here.

Oh, in this case of the order there are a lot of truths to be told, for sure!

Oh hi there. I was missing you really. It doesn't feel like The Order thread without you around

So now when a game gets panned by critics we can just cry smear campaign.

Couldn't possibly be that they thought the game was genuinely bad.

The only truths are that the majority of people who played the game think it's bad, and have stated multiple, still uncontested, evidence as to why, and that there are clearly a handful of people who can't handle it and will go as far as to claim there's some structured movement against it.

"You say you didn't like The Order!? Clearly you didn't play it, or you're just lying and you did like it but just don't wanna admit it's good. Dropped plot points are bad writing? Bullshit. Gallahad is the only character in the entire game with character developement? You're lying. 'The student avenging his master' is an over done cliche and a poor let down excuse for the only developement literally any character in the game sees? No, it's not! Ending a story by killing a not important side character is anticlimactic? Clearly, you just watched your friend play. I cried. It was brilliant."

Give me a break.

No, you said its because fans defend their brands. User scores are high most likely because people like them, just gave my example. Nobody other than internet fanboys care so much about the brand that they would defend a game that they bought and didn't like. Its their hard-earned money, so if the brand doesn't deserve it, they would voice their opinions.

Also if you're wondering all ratings on PSN are given by people who bought the game from PlayStation Store.

And I stand by that. Given the audience of The Order is likely be hardcore Sony fans, I supect brand loyalty plays a large part in how they would rate it. And that's fine. Everyone has factors that influence their ratings; trolls, fans, they are all entitled to their own opinion.

That's the problem with you, you automatically suspect that only "hardcore Sony fans" have given this a good rating just because reviews have been mixed, even though you yourself admit taht you disagree with reviewers sometimes.

Another problem here is that these ratings are given by paying customers, and if these customers aren't pleased with the game they would not give it a good rating. If a customer disliked a game which he ought for $60, he would complain about it, that's a fact.

Yet another problem here is that this title doesn't appeal to you, so you feel its deserving the score as you don't like cinematic games. But its customers are probably expecting that, and if it delivers well on those fronts, they are happy with it. So it doesn't need to be about defendng the game.

I never said they were all defending the game.

For multiplats maybe, but I suspect exclusives benefit greatly from fans defending their brand. (Not just on PS either) How are the ratings for or Killzone Shadowfall and Driveclub? (Games that have mixed reviews)

Killzone reviews are worse.  Driveclub better but I'm sure they would have been as good as the order had the online worked at launch.

The thing is most buyers of the order knew we were getting a cinematic experience.  It's what we wanted.  The game was great.

How do Driveclub and Killzone's PSN scores compare to their metacritic scores?

IMO, the first weeks will obviously be big but the games legs have been broken, nobody will buy the game after 1 week.

Your prediction is wrong. 45k people bought it in its second week in US.

Yes, that was quite the exaggeration on my part. All I wan Ted to say was that the games legs will obviously be reduced due to the bad review scores.

You said its likely to be mostly them, I said its not and told you why.

If you have a stronger argument why it would be mostly Sony fans, feel free to tell us.
