Good comparison. Seconded

Pardon me for not knowing, but what exactly does a smear campaign mean...? o:

No kidding. Starbucks here I come. And to think I wasn't hipster enough. |
If you want to go full hipster, saunter into a Brooklyn artisanal cafe, wearing a fedora, Decembrists t-shirt, and pink overalls.
You'll find me not there.

I think that's a little too hipster, even for me.
I'll just sit here and do espresso shots each time someone uses the word "smear" in this thread. I'll be dead come morning.

Or you'll live forever with a resting heart rate of 5x10^12 BPM lol.

So you're making an example because of one review?! Way to stay objective. And BTW if you had actually played the game you'd know the graphics are unlike everything we have ever seen to date, so yes...eye watering is a good explanation. |
It's not just one review. You can look for yourself and find plenty more user reviews like that. Also you tell me to stay objective but then say that using "eye watering" is a good explanation?

As it pertains to this thread, a smear campaign would be a systematic, calculated and coordinated plan by reviewers and gamers to soil the name of The Order by posting misinformation and lies.
The reality though is people just had issues with the game.

Thanks for answering my Q! That sounds quite ridiculous to be honest. Why would reviewers be out to falsely put down this game? Makes little sense to me. From reviews I have heard, they say a lot of positive things about it, but cover the shortcomings too. I find it odd that people are claiming others are against the Order and seemingly disregard any negative comments people say about the Order, as if the game is flawless.

No, but he is looking for hits just like a few other websites. People aren't going to your site if you give screamride a 4/10.
