For Fire Emblem, yes it will. When Melee had Roy/Marth on the cast, there was no FE games out at the time (staring those characters aswell), so it didn't really help the series to much besides getting recognization in the western side of the world.

Seeming now in Brawl that Ike ( has a GC and Wii game), and Marth has a DS one coming out in Japan this year... I think we will see the FE fan base grow out a bit better now. It might make it first game in the series to sell a million worldwide.

Of course it will. People will play as the characters and want to play their games. Thats a no brainer, dude =]

Not only does it star every Nintendo character known to man, but you unlock a bunch of demos of their correlating VC games, like a 30 second Donkey Kong demo or a 3 minute Super Metroid demo. I have a bunch of demos now. They're gonna tease and tempt people to at least buy the VC games. Considering about 289057 billion people will buy Brawl and try these demos, and it might work on 1% of them, that's still infinity more sales.

Yes, with new wii owners more games like Zelda, Metroid and Mario are sold.

No to the games that are already super-popular / widely well known (Mario, etc.), maybe yes to lesser-known games (Fire Emblem, etc.)  It will not affect me. 

I doubt it will effect people much. Cept maybe virtual console titles if newer gamers try out the demos.

I won't buy new games that they are in... I have em all already.

With the game at time of purchase?  No.  I shouldn't even be buying Smash Brothers as i still have games to play. 

VC game sales will most likely increase....

It probably will.  It depends on how many casuals pick up the game compared to Nintendo hardcore though.

Also it will sell alot of systems! Ok let me rephrase that, it will sell more to the hardcore audience! Wich will lead to a new production increase. More systems will affect every game that comes out even they didn't appear on Wii or VC.

Also the inclusion of Snake will force Konami to support the Wii more, and I'm guessing they will Wii-make MGS2 & 3 for the Wii or an entirely new MGS game.
