No. CoD audience are bro's. They like the make believe PoV of a super soldier with lots of guns.
Splatoon is a fun and colorful game. It doesnt fill their testosterone requirements.

I just wished that this statement was just as mainstream as the genre itself. The day that happens it's the day the industry will truly mature as medium.

Oh it does look very very good, wait and see.
Why would a cod fan that can play cod on his/her system of choice pay ~300 and something dollars to play Splatoon?
I can't find a good reason really.
