I haven't played it, but whether it's a good game or not, it's a game that brought a giant shitstorm. Capcom has a lot of games that could have remade, so why DMC:DMC?

I think developers feel like all games released at the end of last gen are fair game, I think they're trying to reach out to the people who passed on it as oppose to reselling to current fans. I'm sure the DMC collection, plus DMC4 will get a remaster in a years time.

4 is actually coming in a couple months, it's an upgraded Special Edition with Vergil added as a playable character.

But I still don't get why you are complaining. PS4 is also more powerful than Xbone and face-offs showed this. Should df stop stating the obvious? And why? I guess it's not ok to you if they don't say that PS4 version is better than Xbone's version of a game? |
Thats not always the case, a lot of games they run on the same resolution and 2 instaces the xbox won.
I dont see these pc ports as multiplatform games if you dont like pc gaming.
Eurogamer should rather focus on consoles and less on pcs, there are tons of other sites doing benchmarks for various pc hardware and only 1 benchmark site doing it for consoles and they happen to spill more and more pc into their articles and less focosing on the console versions. Its like they have some anti console agenda.
For example they say the ps3 version is 720p but we all know most 7th gen games run on sub-hd, why didnt they proof it again on what resolution older versions were running on? and they left out the 360 which probably run the game also better than the ps3.

I don't see any problem DF mentioning PC. They could also point out that PC version runs like ass, for example. Especially in comparison to the console version. Also you can infer if a game is CPU or GPU heavy by trying different hardware on PC and then you can conclude why the console version runs like it does.
Add to this, I don't know many other sites that actually compare console games with PC games so they are also delivering something unique with their face-offs. Adding more into a face-off is better than leaving stuff out, in my opinion. You are always free to leave out PC abstracts.

Well, the game is getting better scores than the original release from many websites. The minor tweaks improved the game a lot. The story is good, but some of the dialogue is cringe-worthy.

Surprised this isn't being called the Fraud Edition. At least with Tomb Raider we got 'Definitive Editions' tailored specifically for their respective consoles, but it sounds like DmC is just a lazy PC port with DLC and some mods (and still doesn't match PC, which is pathetic). DmC is fun, but series vets will be absolutely underwhelmed by the story and aggravated by the color-coded enemy BS (apparently modded here to not be a total fun killer).

| Ruler said: Eurogamers articles are annoying, we get that the pc versions can be better performance-wise but not everyone wants to play on PC so why they keep saying the obvious that the PC version is still better? And yes its a defentive version, not every pc can max this game out at a solid 60fps wthout any frame drop, so its a definiteve version for the mass market. And they always say if you dont ''own'' a gaming pc its that or this but they dont get trough their head around that a good chunk of people dont want to game on PC. |
I, for one, find it very useful since I have the PC version. Now I know that I don't need to get this new version, had they only compared PS3 to PS4 I would have been in the dark. More information is usually better than less.

I heard this game has 18 GB day one patch. Not buying any single multiplats in this gen. I will rent them in PS4 or get them on steam when they are dirt cheap. I will only get good exclusives.
