Kenn Lobb's team.  That is all we know.  We dont know much other than it is still in developement and them releasing pictures recently to show us what has been worked on.  From the sounds of things a lot of the maps are already worked on.  Beyond that i dont know, but id also imagine a 2016 release by the information we do know

Led by the Original Gears Viking Rod Feguson.

It takes a team, one guy never made gears. An unknown studio....

Black Tusk is made up by a lot of Epic studio folks not just The director/producer of Gears 1-3.

Unknown studio but has many people in key positions with reputable curriculum.

Grrr.

That means that the hypothetical PC port will be 2017 or even later... Unless MSoft/Remedy use the delay to develop the PC version alongside the console one to use the game as an example of cross-buy between PC and X1.

Hey! One can dream, right?

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Uncharted and TLOU wish they could play like Gears. Gameplay is the most important factor of a TPS. Uncharted and TLOU are TP Adventure.

Except they do, both have way more varied, energent gameplay, gears us as straightforward shooting as it gets. Tlou gameplay is a lot better then gears.

Yeah it's getting pretty obvious based on your limited posting history that you're more interested in sony games. Everyone has different tastes but you should still be able to see that gears has some of the best TPS mechanics of any game. It's hard to play some cover based shooters after playing a game as smooth with it's mechanics as gears 3 was.

This makes so much sense on so many levels.

As far as im aware there is multiple people who has worked on the Gears franchise there added by a team of veterans around the industry.  You dont seem to like XB very much which is fine, but maybe you should take a step back instead of putting everything down that is clearly backed with an agenda.

PS:  Uncharted is not known for its shooting mechanics and never has been

It has way more variety rhen shooting gears does not, tlou plays sublime. I dont have an agenda, when someone says a lineup is historic, I can post I dont agree, and I a not alone. I can tackle any encounter in uc or tlou in numerous ways and angles, gears is about as straight forward as they come. Movement in both is outstanding and the series is known for it

The tweet that confirmed the delay was from Dutch Community & Social Media Coordinator Dae Jim. Phil Spencer also did say that the XB1 will have so many exclusives coming out (for the holidays), that some need to be moved to 2016.

Link:

I guess "so many" is relative, there are some exclusives, but not nearly the flood of exclusives the PS4 has in the holiday and throughout the whole year, it's not like 1 or 2 games difference either, it's almost 2 to 1 for the PS4.

However a game delayed by itself it better than a broken game shipped.

Gears if a cover based shooter that is heavily focused on shooting mechanics with unique weapons.  It has a strong multiplayer community for its multiplayer, horde, and coop gameplay.  Its a good story game driven by gameplay and multiplayer.  When you make a TPS cover based game, its always asked "how is it compared to Gears"

Uncharted is a cinematic game that is often compared to movies.  Same goes for The Last of Us.  When you talk about them, you talk about the characters and how the story evolves.  Uncharted especially has had complaints about shooting mechanics in the past, where as TLoU is more of a stealthy slow paced shooter

Very different style games, and very different reasons for popularity.  Im not commenting on the historic comment, so you dont have to be alone on that.

Having more variety than just shooting doesn't automatically mean the shooting part is better though.  I prefer the Uncharted series as a whole to the Gears series, but can objectively say that Gears has the best third person shooter mechanics of any TPS game I have ever played.

you honestly believe phantum dust will release next year after the dev that was working on the game got shut down? also with that lineup i dont see anything that should go down in history honestly

Have to agree with the 2nd part. Even if all of them 'live up to their potential', many of them will likely end up being fairly low key (relative to major AAA releases). Imagine if I said Persona 5, Bloodborne, Disgaea 5, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Tearaway and Until Dawn, etc will make the PS4's 2015 go down in history. If they all ended up being good then sure, it would likely be rememberd as a great year, but enough to 'go down in history'? Of course not. Not while many of them (like D5) probably won't even be rememberd outside of the core market.

I can see 2015 'going down in history' overall though (assuming there aren't too many disappointments). So many major releases this year. Halo, Uncharted, Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc... Hnnnggg.

final fantasy is for this year?

and not sure what yearly exclusive lineup for any console will be considered to go down in history, but it sure as hell isnt this years xbox lineup.

actually, if bloodborne, uncharted, persona 5 all live to the hype and potential, then you have a pretty insane lineup between those three and the rest of the exlcusives like tomorrow children, tearaway, R&C and the rest, because those 3 are considered some of the best franchises and made by some of the best devs (in regard to bloodborne, which is a new IP).
