It cerrainly is not historic. A bunch of niche games and b tier franchises. Gears is not the same anymore. Its a fairly standard lineup nothing special, again how good they will be you dont even know. Hyperbole at its best

Gears had a title, made by a different company, that wasn't even as bad as people make it out to be. Might want to hold off on writing of gears until there is more than one title that doesn't quite reach the heights the first three set. Like sonic, sonic isn't the same anymore.

A studio that have never made a game before is making it, it is unlikely it will be the same without epic. It wont be impactfull like the original was, right game at the right time.

Gears the BEST tps ever, Platimun Games, Remedy, the first game ever heavily based on cloud processing, a Cult Classic in Phantom Dust, a revisit to on old Rare favorite, all on one console in one year would be historic. We can agree to disagree though, not everyone has the same taste, but that is some great stuff I listed there.

It is not close to historic and uncharted, tlou are better then gears. Saying its the best doesnt make it so.

Uncharted and TLOU wish they could play like Gears. Gameplay is the most important factor of a TPS. Uncharted and TLOU are TP Adventure.

It takes a team, one guy never made gears. An unknown studio....

It's clear you have an agenda, preceeded by your inclusion of Uncharted and tlou into the conversation. Have a good day.

Except they do, both have way more varied, energent gameplay, gears us as straightforward shooting as it gets. Tlou gameplay is a lot better then gears.

As far as im aware there is multiple people who has worked on the Gears franchise there added by a team of veterans around the industry.  You dont seem to like XB very much which is fine, but maybe you should take a step back instead of putting everything down that is clearly backed with an agenda.

PS:  Uncharted is not known for its shooting mechanics and never has been

you honestly believe phantum dust will release next year after the dev that was working on the game got shut down? also with that lineup i dont see anything that should go down in history honestly

Yes, becuase from the looks of it, that dev was on contract work. Also there is an internal MSFT team working on it. Lasly, it is a hybrid remake/remaster.

what? that doesnt make sense. if they were doing a good job they would have let them keep doing it. no publisher lets a dev make half a game and let another dev take over for no reason. something went wrong and anybody can see it. who is the dev that is working on it now? how big are they? what experience do they got? what work are they taking from the original dev and what work are they gonna rework? the chances of phantum dust coming out in 2016 are very slim at best.

Well I don't know for sure, but this is what is expected:
Gears 4
Quantum Break
Crackdown
ScaleBound
Phantom Dust
****Kamp keeps hinting at Banjo 3

Have to agree with the 2nd part. Even if all of them 'live up to their potential', many of them will likely end up being fairly low key (relative to major AAA releases). Imagine if I said Persona 5, Bloodborne, Disgaea 5, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Tearaway and Until Dawn, etc will make the PS4's 2015 go down in history. If they all ended up being good then sure, it would likely be rememberd as a great year, but enough to 'go down in history'? Of course not. Not while many of them (like D5) probably won't even be rememberd outside of the core market.

I can see 2015 'going down in history' overall though (assuming there aren't too many disappointments). So many major releases this year. Halo, Uncharted, Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc... Hnnnggg.
