I agree. I know that when I will be playing the game, I will consider her more important than my very own avatar. She better not die though..... and be in t he next Smash Bros! =D

Or she could just be this game's Dunban. I definitely don't think she's the MC; just the experienced "mentor" character.

I actually really could see Elma being more of a central character. Kinda like in Chrono Trigger. I mean yes, the avatar, Crono, was the main character technically, but the source of a lot of the emotional responses, tone, etc were the surrounding characters. Marle especially. So in a way, Marle and Luca could be considered the "main characters" even though your character, Crono, provides the sort of driving power in the action. I think this could be similar.

We already have an Uzuki character. I think Elma will be another one maybe? Kos-Mos with an attitude?

She looks like a dude.  Definitely not waifu material.
