Well first of all most Zelda games (recently at least) actually come out in the Americas before Japan, because well, they sell a lot more over here. But onto the point, Zelda games do not have voice acting. Might not sound like much but I'm sure the difference between just translating text and translating text+voice is absurdly huge.

Aye, that's my point. The actual size of the localization effort is not the deciding factor in how large the gap is between the Japanese and Western releases. I used Zelda as an example because the amount of text is as close to comparable to Xenoblade X as a Nintendo game gets, aside from Pokemon I suppose, which is also released simultaneously. It's not as though Captain Toad or Kirby Rainbow Curse would have been a more appropriate comparison.

Actually, Kirby does provide a great comparison -- via Triple Deluxe. It effectively required no translation at all, yet took 4 months to be released in the West. As opposed to some Zelda games being released in America before their Japanese release.

Zelda is understandably a higher priority, as well as havign a fraction as much material to translate.

Again, my point. Fire Emblem If is a higher priority than Awakening was. Xenoblade X is a higher priority than Xenoblade was.

probably will, it gained more support from western audience more then the Japanese audience, Bring this games early is also a good plan and leave holiday only for Zelda it's a good strategy.

True, thank God, but still, the difference between translating Zelda and translating Xenoblade is like a menu vs a novel.
