Watch this, you might get a better understanding about Metroid. This game still has quite an active speedrunner community. And sequence breaking is more complex than anything you do in Resistance.

I watched some of the video. Seriously I'd rather drag myself through broken games than play an old retro game. I came up in the ps1 days so I've no love for the older generations. Are there even any new Metroids or technically advanced? That video has convinced me. I'd not play that series let alone choose it over one I like. Different strokes for different folks. I respect all opinions that favour Metroid so please respect mine.

Except you're not willing to give Metroid a fair chance, so your opinion means nothing. That's a very narrow minded view you got there. Jeez. You're missing out on a lot of good games.
This is one of the best looking games on the GBA, so yes, it is technically advanced. It has aged better than the first Resistance in terms of graphics lol.
