Yaaay dat Xbox power for the win!!! ;)

Dat belittling.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Most games run 900p on One and 1080p on PS4. That's 50% resolution difference, so there's your gap.

It's fun that for a few games that look or perform better on XOne people still believe Microsoft's machine has some hidden power/secret sauce inside.

The Order is 900p and is regarded widely as the best looking PS4 game, if not the best console game ever.

I think you misread his comment. He was just talking about the gap between [x] at 900p and [x] at 1080p ([x] being the game), not the inherent quality of either. 1886 isn't really relevant. To be honest 1886's aspect ratio makes it a pretty poor reference for '900p' in general :p

The order runs @1920x800 thats above 1600x900

True, but the gap between the two is very small (1600x900 + 6.666...% = 1920x800).

Bethesda quality effort was put into this one.

I'm worried about the vita version now...

Sounds like a shody job by capcom.

And also Mr. OP, no, the gap cant ever close. Its not physically possible to change hardware specs without changing the components. But, optimising the code leads to great benefits. In terms of potencial things cant nor will ever change.

If anything, The Order seems to me a demonstration that the PS4 can really tear up the tarmac at sub-1080p resolutions. An exclusive targeting 900p could put that extra fillrate to use in better materials and such, and potentially look better than anything else on the console, I reckon.

PS4 can't even handle such a simple looking game...??

well, great work Crapcom...

the res diffrence is true but the end result isnt,  if theres no AF the texures are blurred and muddy what good is the res diffrence when the texures are blurred to hell? i mean there boredline ps2 quality plus with all these effect and post processing to hide things results in the xb1 retaining great image quality even with the res diffrence as seen in the images below

                                                                      Play Me

Any shitty game will sell on PS4 hence no need to optimize.
