Forums - Gaming - Batman: Arkham Knight - War on Gotham Trailer(Updated) -The trailer contains codes for deciphering-

Can't wait! Along with Tomb Raider 2, this is my most wanted game in existence.

June can't come soon enough. AK is definitely on my most anticipated games this year.

Looks like a much improved gotham. Open world games are the best and this looks like it will be the best of them all.

Take out 10 thugs silently on the street to unlock the door. Walk into the building. Cut scene. Beat up 20 thugs to unlock the next door. Walk into the next room. Mini boss fight to unlock the next door. Cut scene. Proceed to the next area. Take out... ehhh

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Not my experience at all.  I mean, like a lot of series, there's going to be some fighting and mini-bosses but the Batman games always seem to build on what you already have.

-Upgrading moves and gadgets that just keep you ahead of the new enemy.

-Using newfound equipment to solve environmental puzzles or backtracking to figure out what your new powers can unlock.

-Exploring the areas to solve Riddler's riddles or unlock new Batman lore

-(this time) Drivin around in the Batmobile

-Slently taking out 10 thugs....but some of them have motion sensors, thermal goggles, explosives, etc requiring clever use of environment and traps.

-Glide through this area without touching the ground

-Sneak past this enemy without being seen

-Solve this puzzle before time runs out

-Race around town answering telephones to unlock the next part of the mystery

I mean, if you simplify it like that then a large percent of games are suddenly whittled down to "Beat the bad guys, fight boss, progress to the next level.  eeeehhh."  Anyway, I'm hyped for it.  Sorry if it's not your cup of tea.  If you don't like the series by now, this post isn't gonna change your mind.

good trailer but as much as i liked the first batman i hated the AC. open world games suck and the controls got too convoluted.

Can you explain? I love open world games, but i can understand why people might dislike them. I dont get how the controls are too convuluted though?

i didn't get all that far into the game but it comes down to this..

that grid of items in the lower left-hand corner was way to complex which made gameplay, imo, clunky and i only had like half of those availible to me.   then i had  a whatever happend that meant i didn't play the game for about 2 weeks,.. when i came back i couldn't do anything right and got frustrated and quit the game.

First game was the best of the new games so far. Batman for me seems to suit linearity. City was decent, but it lost something in the open world. Hopefully the Batmobile and a bigger, more varied city will change that.

Not sure I like how many villains Rocksteady crams into each game either. I'd much rather they focus on a couple instead. Arkham Knight, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin, Riddler, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy in one game means half will be wasted in small cameos.

To be fair, most villains are supposed to be cameos. They're more fan-service than anything else.

Anyway, I'm VERY hyped for this game, I freakin' love Asylum and especially City. I'm actually rather surprised so many people prefer Asylum, I always thought City was unanimously considered the best.
