| PRrussiaGC said: I first when into contact with Gaming when my dad (RIP) bought me a dremcast, i remember playing Sonic and NBA on it, but nothing else. Afterwards my mom bought me a Gameboy Color, I played mostly Pokemon, Sonic Advanced and Godzilla: Domination. Then around 2003-2004 I got to the PS2, I played Call Of Duty, Rayman, Tomb Raider, Star Wars Battlefront 1&2 and Pac Man (Don't remember which one) When I grew Older I got 2 different PSP, 2 different DS, a Wii and a PS3, Played too many games that I can't mention right now, but some include Sonic Rush, MK vs DC, Super Smash Brawl and The Last of Us and then we come to the present with a PS Vita, PS3 and PS4, Favorite games are Freedom Wars, Destiny, and various others ones. and ever since 2005 or so I played PC, but not as much as consoles but I played various games such as Age of Empires 1,2 & 3, Warcraft 3 with expansion, Conflict Vietnam, Starcraft 2, and now Town of salem and Minecraft. and that's it, I love Gaming and will always continue to do so. Oh during me having a PS3 I had an Xbox 360 with ghost recon and Gears of wars 2, but afterwards I sold it. |
Good god, you've been around.
When I was younger, my parents never let me get anything to do with video games out of fear of it "ruining my brain" or whatever. That didn't stop me though. I begged and begged and my parents finally gave in and bought me a SNES for Christmas. They got it with Super Mario RPG, a game that I still love, and I played it for the rest of the day. After that, my gaming habits began to grow and I bought more games, more consoles, starting with the N64 once it released and it continued to grow from there and my wallet began collapsing in on itself. I also made new friends through gaming (until I hit middle school where I took the fall into the socially awkward phase). Since then, gaming has pretty much become my favorite past time and I hope that it will continue even after high school.
Pretty much all that I remember
Also my first PC game was Lego Racers which I also got that Christmas and I loved it too, despite how clunky it is to play now.

Once upon a time, when I was a wee toddler, I was enthralled with a certain Bandicoot on the PS1. We had the best of times. And some more best of times. I followed the series onto the PS2, but became interested in other games like Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Killzone, etc. After a while though, I lost interest in video games and, because of this, I missed most of the 7th gen. After my hiatus, I became invested like never before, getting into games such as: Uncharted, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Fallout, Dead Space, Heavy Rain, Rayman, Batman Arkham, Sly Cooper, etc. This composed my 2012-2013 years, and it was really fun.
But then something happened. Something unimaginable. I had been watching several Youtube channels, who primarily played Nintendo games. And because of this, I wanted to play them. So in 2013, I got a Wii U. This was the first time I ever fully got into a Nintendo console, and I don't regret it at all. In 2014, I got a 3DS and now I'm basically consumed. In a good way.
i started with 5 and i cant remember what it was but it had a wheel and a screen on the screen was a car and a road and you could play it
nes and sega was next and wasnt much fun.
snes, great games, unforgettable masterpieces that never get old.
n64, yeah it just blew my mind.
gamecube is the only console i can say for sure it has at least 10 masterpieces no other consoles has.
ps2 and ps1 i had a lot of fun especially with racers and fighting games because of the controller it just works best.
wii and yes i love the wii controller/nunchuck and it has super mario galaxy my favorite game of all time.
now im 29 and i have ... nothing.

This is a wholesome family thread, we prefer the term "2 hot 2 handle".

I'll hold you to that.
I was born into the NES days. My sis got it, and we had 2 games, Lolo and Mario Bros 3. Later we got the SNES and I got the Genesis. Had games like Sonic Spinball, Quackshot, and Battle Toads. Dunno why I picked them, but I had them. Got some cool SNES games, but dunno why I picked them. Enjoyed games like Kirby Superstar, Megaman X, DKC Diddy`s Kong Quest, and Yoshi`s Island. Got blown away by Mario 64 and pretty much became cemented with Ninten. Played N64`s best games, like Golden Eye, Banjo Kazooie, Smash, and others. Blown again by Smash Bros Melee and moved to GC. Eventually got a PS2. Got blown away AGAIN, by Wii Sports and Zelda. Eventually got it for Smash, had a grand ol` time with Smash in college, got a PS3 in Japan, and then got a Wii U. That`s my story, minus the handheld side.
Tired... orz

Parents/parent's friends had a SNES and I used to play that a lot.
Parents sold their SNES.
1998 came around and I asked for an N64 or PS1 (up to parents which one I got). They got me an N64, so I became a Nintendo kid.
Zelda became my favourite franchise after OoT.
Got a GC for Christmas in 2003ish. It was right around the time they were selling that Platinum coloured one with the Zelda Collection, but my parents bought it before that came out, so I was kinda disappointed I got a normal GC.
Nintendo love continued.
Got a Wii 2 months after it came out. Around that time, I also started venturing to Sony and got a PS2, though I didn't play it much.
Nintendo love continued. Got a DS Lite somewhere around then.
2008 came, and I got a PS3 (and a PSP somewhere around then)
2009 came and after a factory job during the summer, bought myself a 360.
Played Wii and PS3 for exclusives, 360 for multiplatform games so I could play with friends.
Bought the 3DS, Vita, Wii U and PS4 at launch. No plans to get an X1 currently. Still identify myself as a Nintendo fan mainly, but love Sony almost as much.
