Rock_on_2008 said: BY the way there is going to be a 60GB XBox 360 model soon on the market which will replace the 20GB Pro. MS are working on a XBox 360 which has BLu-Ray drive in it so this will give the PS3 a run for its money. If Blu Ray is what consumers want, MS will deliver. Sony do not hold exclusive rights to Blu-Ray. I guess MS will have to pay to join Blu-Ray association and put Blu-ray in XBox 360. Check this article from Gamepro on the new XBox 360. http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=167008 |
The BIG problem with add-ons is: Not everybody has it!
The advantage of owning a PS3 over an xbox360 with bluray for playing movies: NONE that i can think of (still, we'll have to compare qualities once, its out)
The advantage of owning a PS3 over an xbox360 with bluray for playing games: What sort of dumb developper would limit its sales to "just people with a bluray drive" and discourage potential buyers?
Bottomline is: in 4 years from now most games will use most of the capacity of a bluray, there will be a bunch bilayered bluray games (50 GB) and a couple multi-disc games
Just imagine if the original xbox came out with a CD drive and an optional DVD drive that costed you about 150-200 bucks...
They are not giving sony a run for their money.. they are trying to repair a dumb mistake
