Forums - Sales - Analytics Firm console sales predictions by 2019

Market intelligence firm Strategy Analytics has put together its latest report detailing the sales of current generation consoles. Strategy Analytics expects Sony’s PlayStation 4 to be in the lead selling around 80 million units by 2019. The firm also expects Microsoft’s Xbox One to sell around 57 million units. The news isn’t so good for the Wii U which Strategy Analytic expects to reach around 20 million global units by 2019.

"Nintendo’s Wii U will trail a long way behind its rivals – it is looking more and more like Nintendo struck lucky with the original Wii, after failing with the GameCube and now the Wii U. Nintendo must decide if it is going to let the console business remain a two-way battle when the next generation comes along – I suspect it won’t but it will be sorely hurt by its latest experience."

Wii U bit obviously saddening, especially since I think 2018 is when successor releases. This is why I need an X1 too.
All Nintendo's fault, btw. They must understand the market and appeal to core audience and get continuously consoles with LT sales of 45m+.

I think X1's and PS4's predictions are very realistic, consoles are on the decline.

Oh god, AGAIN?????

57 seems rather specific. Why not just say 60 million or around 60 million?

whatever, software sells consoles. if the other 2 continue to come out with the garbage they have been all these numbers won't mean ****. u can only sell so many consoles on reputation.
