What I'm trying to gather from this poll, is if you haven't purchased an "8th" generation console, which is your current main one and why.

When looking at the past couple years of sales numbers for the latest home consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, I wondered if the previous issue left a sort of hangover with gamers.  What I mean is, I was trying to see if there was a correlation between choosing, for example, the Wii but not the Wii U or the Xbox 360 but not the Xbox One.  The reason I am curious, is because of the early differential between console sales figures.

As a Wii U owner, I did not own the Wii because by the time I got around to the purchase, I wanted the support of the company behind the product.  Aside from the games I wanted to play, Nintendo was ending many of its services for the Wii and I wanted the better experience.  I did own an Xbox 360 but wasn't interested in the new direction Halo was taking and wasn't confident with their hardware after losing one console to the red ring of death and it's refurbished replacement being very noisey.

Other questions linger, like is there a migration to one console or are people holding off for particular games?  Was there a bad experience with their previous console?  In Playstation 3's case, did anyone decide to wait for the Playstation 4 and skip a generation?  Perhaps some of our situations can help illustrate how we've arrived at such sales numbers between these three.

My main console is 360, and I don't have intention of upgrading (to anything eight-gen related) anytime soon xD

My main is PS4 because of all the free stuff keeping me busy and now the Order along with several other 1st and 3rd party games (TLoU Remastered, Infamous SS, First Light, Telltale games, FC4, and LBP3 to name most retail stuff.

I play mainly on handheld and PC, so I don't really have any need for a console (I couldn't afford supporting three systems in a decent way anyway, nor time to play them all). The only reason I got a Wii last gen was that crazy hype for the machine, and I ended up loving the Wii more than my DS.

If I had a priority list of 7th and 8th gen list, it would be:

-3DS (Owned). I have it already.
-WiiU: I'm so hyped about Splatoon. Other titles I'm interested in are Zelda U, Wonderful 101, Bayoneta 1 and 2, Mario Maker...
-PSP. I know the Vita can play PSP games, but the PSP is cheaper and I can play those patched games, and turn the thing into an emulator. Also, I'm sure the handheld has to be cheap by now.
-Vita. It may not have that much variety, but it has a lot of anime-JRPG. Even if I am awfull at them, I can't ressist them, I love them.
-PS3. The PS3 is going to have more variety than the PS4 for three or four more years. So many games for it. And online free.
-PS4. If I have paid 60€ for a game, I won't pay for online multiplayer, I refuse to do that. Also, the games that it has usually have a PS3 version, and the 8th gen exclusives are not so impressive to me.
-360. Paid online and too much focus on genres I don't really don't care. Multiplats I care about are on PC and PS3, and it's exclusives, again, I don't care.
-XBone. The same with 360, but 360 is cheaper and has more games.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I have a Playstation 2, but actually, I'm playing more on PC. I have no intentions of buying a new console.

My PC is my main platform, and I'm satisfied with it.

You! You are the reason why the console industry is dying!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

My main console I guess is my 360 since I have the most games for that.

Bwahaha, I'm the root of all evil!

My main console is ps4. If it really helps you, I started last gen with 360, then 1 year later change to ps3. Right now I only game on ps4 and ps3. Also have a Wii which I bought at the end of the gen to play some games that I wanted to get cheap but for now it's an item collector.
