I don't think you read everything that I wrote out, you didn't come to question what would one person's desire do to another's general perception and their won desire.
Those that want an Easy/normal mode as an actual option, as in not meant to distory the game in any way for hard mode players sounds like a fair and respectable point of view, compared to the hard/nightmare mode people who believe every game should be just that and everyone deal with it because their view is somehow supposed to trump all, the thing what people are missing that;s important is the easy/normal people just want an actual option when it comes to gaming, the lack of options and focring one ideal over another just limits gaming in general, imagine for a moment how people would feel that they can't play any game at all because they were all nightmare mode, imagine the sales plummeting because not everyone plays games to test their might.
When I see hardcore balls to the walls religious gamers all I can see is a wannabe version of this:

It makes it even more challenging (since challenge/pain lovers love to regardless) if they did that with one arm while hopping on one leg.
See I don't play games 100% for the challenge, there are some games I might to but those are rare and few inbetween, I play games mostly to keep me entertained more than anything, life in itself is more challenging than any mere video game, if people love video game challenges they should step up their competitive game and go the distance with real life challenges, life challenges are so much more rewarding and worthwhile and harder than a video game, sure some could lead to your demise if you don't play your cards right but that's what makes it worth the fun and effort, of course those that back down from any sort of life/compeitive challenge probably shouldn't be harking how rgeat a video game challenge is if they aren't willing to partake in other sorts of challenges, life can be "rewarding" for all the "effort" you put into it, go out there and do amazing things and come back to tell us all how difficult it was instead of trying to limit the scope of a non existent challenge (because when you look at it objectively real life challenges will always trump a video game because video games were never all about pure hardcore challenges).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
This is the type of game that gaming needs more off
Gamers have gotten too used to games holding their hand and guiding them through everything that as soon as something gets even somewhat challenging, the buckle and cant do anything and wont play the game anymore because it was ''too hard''

i like the concept, the freedom, exploration.
but it is too frustrating. i stop playing with tons of hours and i didnt beat more than 7 bosses.
This could be epic if it has metroid difficulty.
Dark Souls 2 has a wonderfully adjustable difficulty level. It is handled without offering the player a few vague menu options before they've even touched the game. Basically, the game is already on "easy" or normal mode by default. Covenant of Champions is accessible very early in the game for those who want to play on "hard" mode. Bonfire Ascetics can also be used to make the game more difficult.
It's actually funny to see people ask for an easy mode. They're already playing on it.

I do not understand all these hardcore players here that are so afraid of others playing their "last bastion of hardcore-ness." I assume if the people who love taking the hard way home and bragging about it, that when somehow others accomplish the same feat but using a shortcut, their accomplishment is made less.
I personally would not play on easy mode but if there is a certain group of people who want to, who am I to judge them for enjoying their gaming a bit easier or to try and deny them that option? I will agree, as long as the overall game is not compromised (as in the easier mode can make damage lower, leveling easier, etc), I see no problem.
The souls franchise is like an RPG, they don't need an difficulty....having trouble with beating a boss, some practive but also grinding some souls levels can make a huge difference... What I did not like about DS2 is that enemies woudl dissapear if you killed them 10 times....It was no issue for me but it means that at one point people can not level up anymore...
Games overal don't need an difficulty but an adapting mode..

That's not up to you to decise though. There are many types of gamers, you can't just chatise and belittle all others who aren't masochistic enough to enjoy these types of games or that prefer easier experiences. Since when did gaming become so hostile and a dick measuring contest to prove who are the "real" gamers?

That would be amazing! Make all the levels like Champion Road. That's in part why I'm looking forward to Mario Maker
