OP...where does this question come from? What inspired you to think of such a dastardly future? Do you have a love affair with either EA or Ubisoft that prompts this?

I started with the question "what publisher other than Nintendo could single-handedly float a console/handheld"... then I realized the big options and shattered a little inside.

An EA console?

First, you just wanna play games then next thing you know.....

Why wouldn't PC have games by Sony/MS/Nintendo if they went 3rd party? That would be the first place they'd go (especially Microsoft).

Anyways, I'd support whoever had the best achievement system...

Indeed. How I feel to be exact.

Nintendo can not single handly float a console either, unless by "float" you mean be outsold by a tremendous amount. The Wii was the only competitive Nintendo console in ages and it had 3rd party support, Sony or MS could do just as well by their self.

Now for the original question, I would go with EA, Battlefield and Bioware :)

If Ubisoft's is well built, that one considering they have better IPs. Though honestly it comes down to who Nintendo is supporting the most.

EA, for Bioware. Mass Effect and Dragon Age games are enough for me.
