I just realised something. I don't care about gameplay. Most of the games I want are ones that interest me because of their theme, story, and design. The gameplay is mostly an afterthought. After decades of gaming, I feel like I've played everything before, dozens of shooters, platformers, strategy and RPGs etc so really the only thing that keeps me coming back is the artistry involved with creating the game universe. So for that reason I'll be getting the order( not at full price of course), I have little doubt the gameplay will stink but that just seems irrelevant.

gameplay is why I play video games :) Zelda and Uncharted without its gameplay, that would be irrelevant.

So the gameplay of a game is the least important aspect for you? Interesting

I play it for the gameplay and storyline cause without great gameplay, it would be very tedious to actually play the game which would turn me off from enjoying the game and its story

I was going to tell you not to bother, because this will just get flamed out like everything having to do with the game, but what the heck...here goes nothing.

Personally, I play games mostly for the single player. If I think a game has an interesting premise or I think it will have a good story, than I'll pick it up. I'm also a sucker for games that look good or have a cool looking universe.

Gameplay does matter to me though, I like a game with heft which is why I usually stay away from games like COD. I don't need every game to do something new as far as gameplay mechanics go as long as they work and the feel is right. I don't like overly "retro" games or games that I feel are needlessly long (ie Fallout 3).

I'll be buying The Order because I'm really interested in the world that they've built and I really like a game with a singleplayer focus. I've also heard that the gameplay is good and the pacing is well done.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

If you don't care about gameplay then you should just go watch movies. It should be the first thing that people care about.

I play for both gameplay and story but I put gameplay over story. If a game has great gameplay but bad story then I'll buy at full price. If the game has bad gameplay but great story I'll wait for a price drop.
