Forums - Gaming - Project Cars Delayed Until April.

Can't say I'm too surprised.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

In the end, WiiU version will get released before all others...

Well this or  at least Wii U should be release with all other versions at this point.

I can wait, this seems to be a great game.

I smell a thing like Rayman Legends...also delayed and than multiplat.

This game is starting to be a joke with so many delays.

Let's hope it delivers, whenever it launches.

Please excuse my bad English.

Preview I read recently mentioned A.I issues and some graphical issues.

A month more polishing needed it seems

Wasn't it due for March? Okay well 2015 multiplat is coming apart at the seams.

Well this game has been known to do this. Not like anyone was really interested anymore. Let's give the others benefit of the doubt :p. And for what it's worth. We know witcher 3, Arkham Knight, cod, assassin's Creed are all DEFINItELY coming out this year. Ac will probably be broken though :p

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

I think it's worth mentioning that had this game released on its release date prior to this delay, it would have released on the same day as Battlefield Hardline, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, and Bladestorm: Nightmare. Even if the audiences are vastly different, it's significantly harder for your game to get attention when there are big games competing for attention on the same release week. This is why November is the death month, you a select number of large games slated for certain weeks. If you have a smaller game trying to squeeze into a week crowded with multiple big names, most likely it will be ignored.

After briefly checking the schedule for the week of its new release date (April 2nd), Slightly Mad Studios will share the same space as Story of Seasons (3DS), MLB 15: The Show (PS4/PS3), Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (PC), and Toukiden: Kiwami (PS4/PSV). Regardless of the reason, I think this was a necessary move for Project Cars.

Since it will be a slow week, the game has a chance be the first priority review of that week. Why? Being the only PC/PS4/XB1 multiplat that week helps. Compare that to March 17th, where it would have been prioritized behind at least 3 established IPs. I have confidence in Slightly Mad Studios and foresee Project Cars to be a good racing game, reviews from major gaming outlets during a slow week can only help their cause.

And that´s just the perfect moment to release it on the WiiU, April has no games outside Japan, with Project Cars  feb, march, april, may and probably june with Yoshi would be covered, I hope they don´t delay it, but they will.

Like the Crew, this game has no hype.

And despite lukewarm reviews it still sold over 1 million on ps4. Not sure it really deserved that.  Hopefully cars reviews well.
