Yeah, it's the only explanation I can think of.    Really, the questions asked by the interviewer are so offensive.

Terrible interview. Best thing Molyneux could do for himself and his games is to get some PR people. From the get go the interviewer kept cutting him off. What a jooke. Quite the first question as well, "do you think you're a pathological liar". He probably should have cut the interview right there. Every developer at this point has 'lied' because almost every game is delayed lately.
Backing kickstarters are risky. These are rewards for pledging money, you aren't actually buying anything but are being given a gift/reward for the pledge, so no these people that backed it shouldn't get anything till it is finished. Does it suck that it is taking lots of extra time? Yes. If it doesn't get finished then kiickstarter and the backers can take the studio to court.
As I said, every kickstarter is a risk, it's all just promises and relies oon their integrity, there is no guarantee. Let the backers and kickstarter handle it, the interviewer should likely find a new line of work.

Well i felt sorry for Molyneux having such a interview, but at the same time, i don't respect Molineux anymore. So this interview is like reading a joke article or comedy story Lol.

Looking back at the interview now, it is quite harsh. Yes the man has made some outrageous statements in the past but the way he was treated in this interview... Bit harsh.

not sure why everyone is hating on the interview. it is refreshing to see an interview that actually asked the questions everyone is really thinking.

Sadly Jay, said behavior is be coming a little too normal for me. If the interviewer was a little more polite, chances are the interview wouldn't have been so rocky to peruse... or in Molyneux's case answer.

*Sigh* People complain frequently about how the gaming media is paid off and frequently panders to developers. Then, when someone takes a major industry figure to task for making promises (and accepting money) for things they can't deliver, people say that he's being too mean?
