Modern entitled gamers, there is the reason for any issues. I like to have value in my purchases and 10 hours isn't even enough for me (now). This said, it doesn't mean it won't be a good game.

Yet, I'm pretty sure I can speed run Crash Bandicoot in about 45 minutes to a hour (without doing all the extra crystal stuff). An excellent game doesn't mean long length.

Hmm, pie.

And it's not like anyone else on GAF or elsewhere who claim to have played it as well accused him of cutting parts. The only thing people are saying is that he "rushed" and didn't pick up collectibles.

The Dev saying what he did is impossible is honestly pretty lolz

He could have been reffering to the 3hour rumor that was going around.

Don't remember hearing about that. Fair enough I suppose

Neither of them is lying. The developer was responding about a rumour that the game was only 2 to 3 hours long.

The developer was reffering to the claims of 3 hours, not the youtube poster who completed it in six.Given that he rushed, didnt die once, and didnt bother to pick anything up, it still took him 6 hours, so the developers are more than welcome to call bullshit on claims of people doing it in 3 hours.

If a perfect run picking up little to nothing takes 6 hours, the average gamers going to take 8-12 hours, not 5-10.

A guy on GAF analyzed a playthrough:

    Gameplay include walking sessions, prompts for actions that aren't inserted in mere cutscene sessions (like pushing a carriage)
    QTE include prompts for actions insterted in mere cutscene sessions
    Cutscenes include mere videos
    This isn't 100% accurate, but it should give you a decent idea.

    So, here it is

    Prologue - Total | 12:28 --> Gameplay | 3:39 - QTE | 1:58 - Cutscenes | 6:50
    Chapter 1 - Total | 29:23 --> Gameplay | 20:20 - Cutscenes | 9:03
    Chapter 2 - Total | 16:33 --> Gameplay | 6:43 - Cutscenes | 9:49
    Chapter 3 - Total | 46:00 --> Gameplay | 32:36 - QTE | 0:54 - Cutscenes | 12:30
    Chapter 4 - Total | 24:25 ---> Gameplay | 12:20 - QTE | 2:21 - Cutscenes | 9:46
    Chapter 5 - Total | 32:41 --> Gameplay | 24:17 - QTE | 0:32 - Cutscenes | 7:52
    Chapter 6 - Total | 7:32 --> Gameplay | 1:42 - QTE | 0.18 - Cutscenes | 5:32
    Chapter 7 - Total | 6:41 ---> Cutscenes | 6:41
    Chapter 8 - Total | 21:37 --> Gameplay | 9:30 - QTE | 0:07 - Cutscenes | 12:00
    Chapter 9 - Total | 43:07 --> Gameplay | 31:13 - QTE | 1:13 - Cutscenes | 10:41
    Chapter 10 - Total | 4:07 --> Cutscenes | 4:07
    Chapter 11 - Total | 44:15 --> Gameplay | 33:13 - QTE | 1:07 - Cutscenes | 9:55
    Chapter 12 - Total | 5:37 --> Cutscenes | 5:37
    Chapter 13 - Total | 5:17 --> Gameplay | 0:04 - Cutscenes | 5:13
    Chapter 14 - Total | 5:31 --> Gameplay | 1:47 - Cutscenes | 3:44
    Chapter 15 - Total | 10:48 --> Gameplay | 9:24 - Cutscenes | 1:24
    Chapter 16 - Total | 9:23 --> QTE | 2:33 - Cutscenes | 6:50

    Walkthrough - Total | 325:17 --> Gameplay | 186:48 - QTE | 11:03 - Cutscenes | 127:26

    Percentages
    Gameplay | 57,43%
    QTE | 3.4%
    Cutscenes | 39.17%

So QTE combined with cutscenes is 138:39 which means 2 hours, 18 minutes and 39 seconds you can't change.
So for 3 hours you would have to reduce 186:48 minutes to 41:21 minutes which is unlikely that early.

R@D is just doing standard damage control trying to save their investment. The YouTube video was a clear indication of how long the game is, the player did not speed rush through it. In life we make decisions and not all of them work out, the gameplay was the Achilles heel for will over a year, R@D should have spoke to how they were going to remedy those concerns.

EDIT NEvermind

If he is referring to 3 hours then im going to ask for a lock. If you can provide me with something that shows he is referring about 3 hours and not the youtube video.

But we are not talking about speed run numbers here.

Locking by request.

Oh, erm...maybe not then.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

One thing I would really like to ask all the people who say the youtuber rushed through the Order though is this.....

As long as he's shooting and killing all the enemies, which from what I saw he definitely does, how do you rush through a completely linear shooter which consists largely of unskippable cutscenes?

Really, somebody tell me that. It's not some open world RPG with a bunch of side content and shit. It's a shooter. Your objective is to go from point A to point B, and kill all the bad guys. And we're not even talking about a shooter with larger sandboxes or anything like that! If this guys is "rushing" through this game, then everybody in the world playing any shooter without picking up all the collectibles is also rushing by your standards.
