like i tell you on other thread, just in map size Xenoblade with 154.44 square miles, is far superior to TW3 with 20.9 square miles, even GTA 5 is more bigger than TW3, another thing to point is TW is a very linear experience and we all know noting about how the developers are going to counter that in TW3.

A huge map like Xenoblade is all fine and dandy, but when it's mostly empty without anything to do in it other than traverse it for a while to get from one point to an other, with almost nothing in between, how exactly is it better than one that's smaller but filled with events and stuff to do?

People like you will praise the map for being huge, but vastness gets boring if all you do is battle monsters and nothing else. The vastness loses its charm after the third time you have to venture through the same area...

But it's huge! That's something, right? -__-

The xenoblade Chronicles x map is handcrafted, so it is not like a lot of terrain ramdon generated, if it is empty or not we don't know yet... everything is pointing to a very populated world with a lot to do in between, so to the bold part of your post... yes it is huge!!.

I get what you are saying, but is it absolutely necessary to be so abrasive about it?

Abrasive? How am I being abrasive? You take any criticism towards Nintendo games as abrasive. In this here cae, I'm not even knocking the game down. My point is legitimate and has merit.

Now, is it absolutely necessary to downplay a game that isn't exclusive or isn't going to release on the Wii U in order to make a Wii U game look better?

Can't the game be good on its own?

It's go nothing to do with being critical of Nintendo. I do that myself all the time.

It's this kind of veiled jab at another user is what  strikes me as a bit unnecessary.

Bolded 1: Not sure how you know this, but it seems pretty wrong. There are lots of things you can do in the areas in Xenoblade (at least as much as any other jrpg). There are lifepods to find, there are items for quests, you can survey the land, There are special hunts (with online multiplayer), and that's just what we know. What is the world missing exactly (strictly in it's open world)?

Bolded 2: We know there is a quick travel. If you want to see the landscape and explore the world that's fine. If you get bored with it, you can skip it. Not that big of a deal.

Bolded 3: It is pretty nice to seemlessly explore a giant world. Appearently it doesn't really matter to you though.... Different opinions...

7 areas... That's pretty lame, lol. Especially considering when it comes down to it, a lot of the areas look exactly the same.

Watch the Japanese direct, there will be plenty to do in this world. You have to support your city by collecting resources, clearing enemies from areas, finding lifepods, gathering intell, etc.

There are also other species and cities from alien races. You can teleport to any area you previously visited and there's even a guidance ball that shows you the correct way if you don't want to get lost.
