Forums - Gaming - When do you think Miyamoto will retire?

Nintendo's greatest game designer the father of modern videogames,Is 62 now but how long do you think he will be working? I think he'll probably retire midway through next gen. I would prefer never but doesnt work that way :P

I think he will make one final, epic project that will blow every gamer away, then retire

Yea, I don't see him working for too much longer mostly cause hes old! I say 5-7 more years at most

never they will clone him.

He seems like the kind of guy who will be involved in some capacity till he dies. But, I think he'll ease back on a lot of his responsibilities if the next Nintendo system is a success.

He seems to be quite happy now, so I think he will be around for long - ten years or more. He is Nintendos greatest asset when it comes to marketing. He will probably not work (with developing games) very much but he will be around when there are marketing events: E3, NintendoDirect, Launch of new stuff.

He should have retired after the GameCube. He is part of the reason why Nintendo has not evolved and have been on a downward spiral quality wise since the GC.No one can say he has been relevant since the 80s.The best Mario and Zelda games were made by other developers as well as DK.

62 years isn't really that old when you consider how much the average life expectancy of humans has increased over the last century.

True but I think he would like to spend the rest of his doing something more relaxing and enjoyable than game development

This, but I do not think he will retire until he dies
