Nope, that 56% means 8th gen sales, PS4 56% and XBO 44%, matches the number perfectly when the WiiU is used in the ~12% share, PS4 did 271K last NPD, not 350. PS4 ~193 /XBO ~153

Gotcha! Should've checked the data myself. I see somebody put 350k for last year and ran with it. My bad!

xb1 set a new sales record in november 2014, december 2014 and january 2015 npd 
ps4 set only a new sales recod in december 2014 npd

In the long run its important.  It means the Wii U is not likely to be majorly up yoy as vgchartz was showing. 

That, I agree with. It's probably going to be flat to slightly up.



Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

PS4's situation is understandable since it doesn't have launch hype nor was it supply constrained. It also didn't have any huge games last month. However, X1's situation is worse because the outcome is not expected. I thought it would easily do better than it did last January, but a 10K increase YOY shows that it barely did it.
