Which do you prefer Ar or vr? ive seen a lot of pros and cons for both and id like to hear your opinions! :)

AR... Imagine putting the face of scarlett johanson over your girlfriends head all the time... VR is too clumsy for that

Vr for the porn reason as well. Also takes me out of the world rather than awkwardly mapping stuff over it.

VR - I can sit in my comfy chair, in my relatively small gaming room and get lost to the world. With AR I need way too much space to do something which in the end very few games will ever make use of, just like the Kinect.

VR ... AR is just kind of a silly distraction in my opinion that would get old after the novelty wears off; VR is legitimately something that immerses you into a different world.

If I want a level of immersion beyond looking at my TV screen then I want total immersion. Therefore I much prefer the idea of VR by a wide margin, for gaming purposes in an uncontrolled environment.

However in controlled environment settings, like a laser strike arena, then AR would be great.

VR will always have the edge over AR for immersion and pleasure. AR is just too hard to do properly and extremely limited in its utilization as it has to work with your surroundings.
VR is unlimited, easier to do and currently a lot more sophisticated thanks to tons of research.

But none of it is better than the other since they're used for completely different things. We will use both in the future so I see no reason to compare them against each other when both can and will enrich our lives in different ways. That's like asking if nurishment or breathing is better.

The actual product will probably be nothing like that.  I'm expecting another milo type situation.  The VR stuff is fairly far down the pipeline.  And it's proven.
