With all the talk about the live-action Zelda series coming to Netflix, there's no way not to have heard of this. But if you have or haven't, does anyone else think this could pave the route to a voice acted Zelda game? If these voices are really on track with the characters, and the actors are already there, then this could be a huge opportunity for Nintendo to make a Zelda game with voice acting! Tell me what you think.

It could if they do it right. If they don't do it right, then nope

Wow even Huffingtonpost is reporting this news. Wall street must be giddy from being the main source of this news.

On topic: It definitely makes voice acting a lot more possible! And the series did use some form of voice acting for the major side characters in the last two home console games. Maybe third time's the charm?

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

I would hope so as the idea of there being no voices at all in Zelda games is one that I think is out of date, especially with games where the cinematic and story demand dialogue.

Link you can keep as the classic mute (most main characters are better seen and not heard anyway, but the rest of the potential cast should have voice acting if they are going to have dialogue.

I like the nonsense languages that they often use in Zelda games...I would be fine with typical VA for other characters, but no matter what, I think that Link should stay silent

One would hope so!

I desire voice acting in Zelda U greatly.

Just make the voice actors sound similar to the noises and yells ans shrieks and sighs and laughs ect the characters like Link or Zelda always had and BOOM.

Job done. Perfect normal voice acting. Hyrule Warriors had the best cutscenes, so I think Zelda U should meet that standard except with voice acting.

I really don't think this is going to come to fruition to be honest. Nintendo is very protective of their property and I just don't see how Netflix of all distributors would be a good fit for them.

Beyond that, Link works well as a character with no voice. It adds a sense of mystery to this hero and I just can't imagine anyone doing his voice acting and living up to my expectations.

Would it pave the way for voice acting? Probably yes, depends on the series quality and reception.
Would I like it to happen? Yes, but only if it's optional in the game =P
